Owner description: Honeysuckle Farm is a family owned and operated open farm in the East Riding of Yorkshire. We are an open farm. Not a farm park so if you visit us expect to see a real working farm with a commercial herd of cows, dairy cows and a flock of commercial sheep. We also have goats, fish ponds, play areas, horses, red squirrels, a café and many picnic areas. We have been open for public visits since 1992 and we offer a unique and quirky experience of what it is like to run a farm with all its fun, challenges and tribulations in the present economic climate. If you want anthropomorphised animals try a theme park. If you want the real deal then visit Honeysuckle Farm to feed animals, watch a milking display (the milk is processed into ice cream on the farm), have a horse and cart ride with one of our huge Shire horses and chat to the farmers. We keep prices very reasonable - compare us to other attractions - and believe that we offer good value for money - feel free to bring a picnic and you can stay on the farm from opening at 10am to closing at 5pm if you like. Give us a try. we look forward to seeing you.

We visited Honeysuckle Farm last Saturday, first open day of the season and what a great time we had. My husband and I took my 4yr old Great Nephew and he had the time of his life. Jumping around on the straw bales attracts all the kids and they all will play together for hours. The milking demonstration was great, all the kids really enjoyed it and the farmer doing the demo was letting the children join in by asking questions, interaction is always great to keep the children's attention. Walking through the fields seeing lots of new born lambs was my favourite, they were so cute. The farm has opened a new cafe, it's a lot bigger and the food and drinks are reasonably priced, always a place that the kids like to go, food and drink pit stop. Our day was excellent in everyway and will definately be returning for another visit before the close of the 2014 season.

A local farm with loads of animals. You can buy feed to walk round with and feed goats, sheep, horses, cows. Walk through sheep fields and integrate with the animals which you can stroke. Lots of small animals. Kids love the pkace. Great for school trips also and at the end of the day finish off with some of the farms freshly made ice cream. Lush

The entrance fee was very reasonable and the staff very friendly and accommodating. You can purchase bags of feed very cheaply and there are plenty of animals to feed.
The hay bale play barn is a genius idea and the children completely work themselves out jumping on them - it was lovely to watch and took me back to my childhood too!
There were goats to feed, sheep, a pond with fish, lots to do on the forest walk and lots of nature to look at. The children loved the horse and cart ride and being able to have their photo taken with Tinkerbell.
We watched good old fashioned milking, played in the maze and visited the shop which had lovely bits for the children and not too expensive either.
We finished off with a trip to the café - the food was lovely. The cake was very nice, quiche proper homemade and the icecream (made from cows on the farm) some of the best I've tasted - we even went back later in the week for a tub to eat back at our holiday home! The gardens outside to café are quiet and lovely to sit in.....
A really lovely day out and somewhere to make a trip to. A really good farm day out!!
