Lovely to visit, to feed ducks and take a boat trip. Toilets need cleaning more often and the cafe could do with a face lift

I love it I love it I love it.
What a beautiful tranquil surrounding, I spend lots and lots of time in this setting and hope that it never changes.
The cafe has recently been taken over and what a friendly group of staff with excellent food.

As locals residents, this is our favourite place. To visit, and now the new owners are thinking of winter opening that will be even better . The cafe and food have improved but the cafe has not lost its old fashioned charm.and the view over The Mere - spectacular !on a fine day take a row boat out ,or just take the children to feed the ducks&geese they come running to you, plenty of free parking. A couple of relaxing hours can be spent here day on day especially with binoculars.

popped in to have a walk around the mere and have a bite to eat in the cafe on the way home from a few days at the coast. the whole area looks a little rundown at first but there is a lovely view of the mere and plenty of boats if you fancy having a row around. the cafe was lovely and clean, the staff were very friendly and attentive. we had a sandwich each and a cup of tea which was very tasty and reasonably priced. toilet facilities are not fantastic but that is the only thing we found off putting.
