lots of little areas of shops, all playing different music inside and out of each store. Ok not every shop has what you are looking for but i came away with some good quality jeans, a couple of leather handbags at excellent prices, card making materials and some ideas for Christmas pressies. There is plenty of chose for places to eat all of them serving excellent food at reasonible prices. The staff all seem friendly and helpful and everywhere is clean and well cared for.

Hornsea Freeport is intended to be a a collection of small to medium sized retail outlets from well known brands and names selling at knock-down or bargain prices, and thats exactly what it is.

I suspect that some people expect it to be like some kind of huge city style retail park with colossal warehouses and a vast car park and Matalan or T.K Maxx, but remember this is Hornsea and not Sheffield or Nottingham.

Our party of 7 family members thoroughly enjoyed wandering around Hornsea Freeport and browsing through the shops, there was something there to interest us all, I particularly enjoyed the farm shop as I like to support fresh, local suppliers, and I thoroughly enjoyed the coloroll shop as I run a small guest house in Whitby.

It was mid September and so one or two outlets were closed, the majority were open and it was fairly busy, the site itself is very pleasant, well laid out and planted throughout with lawns, shrubs and greenery, it has a relaxing feel about it and has a couple of nice places to eat and drink including a lovely outsise / street cafe area.

If you want big stores and hours and hours of shopping then go somewhere else, but if you like the idea of 30 or 40 outlets selling brand labeled goods at sale prices in pleasant surroundings and no traffic or busy roads then give it a try.

Having had a bad experience with Freeport a year or so ago, we decided to Give Freeport one more chance...finding kids shoes for the new term.

...But....

Went away without the shoes and came away feeling cheated out of a Saturday afternoon when we could have spent the time on the beach....or anything, This place needs to be demolished....the sooner the better.

we visited whilst holidaying in scarborough but i wish i'd read the reviews beforehand. what a waste of time and diesel. took us half hour to look around and absolutey nothing worth going for - the usual culprits - roman originals(high street??), thorntons, pottery shops, tog 24. Whoever owns the freeports up and down the country needs to sort them - fleetwood is also dire. they have lost their way - neither good value or decent names.
