“A Perfect Holiday ”
Reviewed June 21, 2018 for a stay in June 2018

It was our 5th year back to this charming villa and never fails to please. Set in natural countryside, the rustic stone villa has all modern amenities.

Hosts are the best and truly want you to enjoy your holiday, nothing is too much trouble.

The nearby is quaint and not expensive.

We simply love it here

“Fantastic piece of paradise”
Reviewed August 28, 2017 for a stay in August 2017

On arrival to Kayakoy we were met by Oliver, who drove us up the dirt track to our secluded villa. Villa Amara is nestled with three other villas, in a quiet and secluded area, next to the ghost village.
The villa was decorated beautifully and was complete with up to date kitchen appliances.
Upon arrival Arife and Oliver showed us round the villa and Arife had cooked an amazing meal for our first night which she delivered to accompany the wine she had left in the fridge.
The villa is in a beautiful spot, and although three other villas are there, it is quiet and relaxing. The pool is fantastic, big enough to have an inflatable chair, a lilo and a massive inflatable swan all in the pool with four of us at once.
Although secluded our two teenage daughters adored it, especially the privacy around the pool area.
We asked for a clothes airer to be supplied as I wanted to use the washing machine and when we returned home the evening one was waiting.
There is a short walk to get into the village, for small convienience stores and an amazing bakery. It is also easy to walk to some fantastic local restaurants and the ghost village.
The village is a stones throw from great beaches, especially our favourite, Kidrak.
Also Hisonaru is easily visited where it is lively and bustling.
We also went to Fethiye market for supplies of fantastic fruit and veg.
Arife organised car hire for us, and we would recommend this to get the most it of the area. And she organised a private boat trip which we would recommend. Arife and Oliver go out of their way to ensure your holiday is perfect.
This was a fantastic holiday in a beautiful area, a small piece of paradise.

“Tranquility”
Reviewed December 8, 2016 for a stay in October 2016

Arife and Oliver, thank you for sharing the wonderful Amara villa. We needed to recoup after a very busy year and this place is just magical. It's well equipped and comfortable. The lane from the village to the villa is a little tight in parts but the price is peace and quiet. The dog and cats also love to keep you company if you are missing your pets back home. For anyone visiting you can walk to restaurants in Kalkan and any of them will drop you back when it's dark. Believe us you will not be dissapointed.

“Third visit and just as wonderful”
Reviewed June 19, 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Villa Amara is just the sweetest place to stay. The villa, gardens and pool are lovely. It is so peaceful, relaxing and quiet. Arife and Oliver could not be better hosts, always there to help but in no way obtrusive

Our trip with Arife to the mountains to visit a rural family and have lunch was so special, indeed a privilege to be able to meet Turkish people in their natural environment. Our hike through the ghost town and over the hills was strenuous but so enjoyable and we hitched a water lift back from Cold Water bay to Gemilli beach.

Kayakoy itself is a small village, lots of restaurants, not horribly commercialised and only 10 mins walk through the pines.

Once again we had a wonderful time and will certainly return next year.

Thank you Arife and Oliver for making our stay so very enjoyable

“Absolutely Fabulous!”
Reviewed June 18, 2016 for a stay in June 2016

This is my third return to this charming rustic villa. Nestled in countryside and close to Kayakoy village. The villa is spacious, well equipped and tastefully decorated. Lovely pool overlooking the fields.
We feel very at home here. The owners are lovely and very helpful if you need anything, but at same time not in your face. It is peaceful and very relaxing. The village is a short walk for great Turkish food. Everyone is very friendly.

Villa Amara is simply magical.

“WOW! WOW! AND WOW AGAIN”

We have just booked for the third time. A little late in our reviews, hmmmmm.... - sorry. We first went in 2014, then in 2015.

Villa Amara is an absolute delight. A beautiful little villa, private, with its own pool and garden overlooking the fields and mountain. Not far from the coast. Traditional but with all modern day comforts, nicely furnished and well appointed with washing machine, dishwasher etc., to say nothing of the lovely lounge, bedroom with french doors to the pool, sun loungers etc - in fact everything you could want. All very well equipped and spotlessly clean.

The owners, Arife and Oliver are lovely - nothing is too much trouble and they are so friendly and helpful. When one arrives, Arife usually prepares a typical Turkish cold buffet and warmly greets you with her cat and dog! Oliver will happily give you a lift if he is on his way out. And they will cook an evening meal for you if you wish. They live on site and are there if you need them but are totally unobtrusive and respect ones privacy.

Alternatively, you can take the 10 min walk into Kayakoy, along the tiny path, through the beautiful countryside, past the old ghost town and then eat at many of the restaurants there.

All in all we think it is wonderful and will return again and again

Definitely recommend
