We have been traveling to this region of Turkey for the past 16 years but this is the first time that we have stayed at Karmylassos. We only found it by chance on the internet and reading the reviews on Trip Advisor. I have to say - we were overwhelmed! It is such an oasis of calm set it a beautiful walled garden. Suzanne and Vedat are the perfect hosts and every comfort has been thought of. We were amazed at how huge the cottages were and spent the first hour we were there texting our friends to see if anyone could get a last minute flight to join us! The standard of food is fantastic and we were more than happy to eat lunch and dinner at the restaurant on site every day - the chef was happy to prepare delicious authentic Turkish food even if it didn't feature on the menu. His food certainly as good as the best we have eaten in Turkey and far better than most. We will most definately be returning next year and, hopefully, so will lots of our friends!

Karmylassos is absolutely fantastic , this will be our 5th year back there in June, Vedat and his English wife Sue are wonderful hosts, nothing is too much trouble, from arranging transfers to and from the airport to days and evenings out with the family every one is made to feel welcome. The area kaya koy is absolutely stunning especially when you walk through the ghost town up to the top of the hill, we walked over the top of the mountain, got a bit lost! but found a fantastic bay and the pancake boat arrived and we sat and had a spinach and potato pancake which i can highly recommend, the scenery was just stunning! i can also recommend Bulents a little roadside cafe (pancake house) the owner is very friendly and the pancakes are wonderful.

Kaya Villas is a delight. Owners, Suzanne and Vedat, are so welcoming and can't do enough to ensure your holiday is memorable - they are great hosts. We stayed in one of the bungalows which are well-designed and equipped with everything you might need. The gardens are beautiful and the pool is just a few steps away from your front door.

Vedat organised a private gulet trip for his guests during the time we were there - the best way to see the Turkish coastline. There were just 10 of us on the boat and we had one of the freshest fish lunches ever. To be recommended.

It was too hot to do much sightseeing while we were there so have booked to go in 2010 when we hope things will be a bit cooler. Having said that, we were quite happy to laze around the pool and enjoy the comforts of Kaya Villas! It's worth a look round the ruins of the original Kayakoy village before it gets too hot.

We are looking forward to our 5th visit to Karmylasos in June, the cottages are wonderfull buit in real Turkish style but with all mod cons, and have ample space for 4 adults with room to spare.
Three cottages built around a beautifull pool, it's heaven!!
Nestling in the gorgeous Kaya Valley which has the famous Ghost village, which has many local resturants serving delicious fresh Turkish food, but 10 mins drive and you are in the bustling port of Fethye or world remowned Olu Deniz beach. If it's night life you are after Hisaranou is full of shops, eating places and nightclubs.
We have travelled to many areas of Turkey, but Karmylassos draws us back year after year....absolute UTOPIA.
