Service from the hosts suzanne & vedat is absolutely 1st class they are lovely caring people who really want you to totally enjoy your stay. They are always availailable to advise & point you in the right direction of where to go & what to do. Each cottage is tasteful & of the highest quality. The location is just fab.... very rustic...You can relax at the cottages & eat in the restaurant or walk to the many surrounding ones. A car or local bus can take you on a short trip to Olu Deniz or Fethiye which are both worth a visit. The boat trip that Suzanne & Vedat organise is superb. You can see the coast line at its best. Walking or horseriding also available... stay by your cottage in the evening & enjoy the beautiful gardens or enjoy a chat by the relaxed bar with others....superb holiday

We have just got married at Kaya Villas in an absolute dream wedding after the owners & hosts, Sue & Vedat worked tirelessly over the last year to help us make our dreams come true. Sue & Vedat employed their trademark attention to detail to perfect all of our requests and the whole occasion was set off by the beautiful surroundings and an amazing atmosphere.

We stayed at Kaya Villas (also known as Karmylassos Cottages) for the last 2 two weeks of August and loved every minute of it! Our families had not seen the cottages before and they all fell in love with the place as much as we did, together we're already planning a group return visit in 2012!

In the last year the owners have built a gorgeous roof on the restaurant terrace and re-landscaped the area beside the pool with a stunning effect. Wherever you sit or lay around the grounds, there is a visual feast to enjoy and make you feel like you are in your own private paradise. My personal favorite place to truly relax was laid in the hammock as the trees shadowed me from the intense August sun, taking in the views and watching as others splashed around in the pool!

The hospitality of Sue & Vedat is unbeatable, from the welcome you receive on arrival to the enthusiasm still radiating from them on day 12! They are on hand to advise and help as much as they can and as the sun goes down and the gardens light up, you will enjoy great company and great food in perfect surroundings. They have a chef on hand to serve tasty lunchtime dishes or full-on evening meals when you are ready, the food is very good quality and there's a variety of choices on the menu.

The cottages themselves are just gorgeous with their bare stone walls, wooden beams and delicate decoration, they are also extremely spacious and of course, contain all the practical elements that you need. You'll find that yourself spending little leisure time indoors as your large private balcony and the grounds beyond are so inviting, but when you do venture inside at the end of each day you'll find the air con satisfyingly cool and the beds comfy!

Kaya Villas is based within the pretty town of Kayakoy which has a number of traditional restaurants, grocery shops and the famous abandoned old Greek village. Hiring a car through the owners is a good price and very worthwhile to see the wider area, although pulic transport and taxi's are plentiful. 5 mins by car will take you to lively night life, trinket shops and supermarkets in Hisaronu, 12 mins takes you to pretty sandy bays and the beach resorts at Oludeniz and within an hours drive there are many interesting historical & nature sites that are well worth a visit!

We can't recommend this place enough so if you are looking for relaxation in beautiful surroundings, with great hosts and the bustle of the rest of the world just minutes away, then Kaya Villas is definitely the place for you!

As a hint, we found more reviews for these cottages that have been saved under the Attractions list for "Karmylassos / Kayakoy", so search this too if you want to read more about this place!!

We have been traveling to this region of Turkey for the past 16 years but this is the first time that we have stayed at Karmylassos. We only found it by chance on the internet and reading the reviews on Trip Advisor. I have to say - we were overwhelmed! It is such an oasis of calm set it a beautiful walled garden. Suzanne and Vedat are the perfect hosts and every comfort has been thought of. We were amazed at how huge the cottages were and spent the first hour we were there texting our friends to see if anyone could get a last minute flight to join us! The standard of food is fantastic and we were more than happy to eat lunch and dinner at the restaurant on site every day - the chef was happy to prepare delicious authentic Turkish food even if it didn't feature on the menu. His food certainly as good as the best we have eaten in Turkey and far better than most. We will most definately be returning next year and, hopefully, so will lots of our friends!

Karmylassos is absolutely fantastic , this will be our 5th year back there in June, Vedat and his English wife Sue are wonderful hosts, nothing is too much trouble, from arranging transfers to and from the airport to days and evenings out with the family every one is made to feel welcome. The area kaya koy is absolutely stunning especially when you walk through the ghost town up to the top of the hill, we walked over the top of the mountain, got a bit lost! but found a fantastic bay and the pancake boat arrived and we sat and had a spinach and potato pancake which i can highly recommend, the scenery was just stunning! i can also recommend Bulents a little roadside cafe (pancake house) the owner is very friendly and the pancakes are wonderful.

Kaya Villas is a delight. Owners, Suzanne and Vedat, are so welcoming and can't do enough to ensure your holiday is memorable - they are great hosts. We stayed in one of the bungalows which are well-designed and equipped with everything you might need. The gardens are beautiful and the pool is just a few steps away from your front door.

Vedat organised a private gulet trip for his guests during the time we were there - the best way to see the Turkish coastline. There were just 10 of us on the boat and we had one of the freshest fish lunches ever. To be recommended.

It was too hot to do much sightseeing while we were there so have booked to go in 2010 when we hope things will be a bit cooler. Having said that, we were quite happy to laze around the pool and enjoy the comforts of Kaya Villas! It's worth a look round the ruins of the original Kayakoy village before it gets too hot.

We are looking forward to our 5th visit to Karmylasos in June, the cottages are wonderfull buit in real Turkish style but with all mod cons, and have ample space for 4 adults with room to spare.
Three cottages built around a beautifull pool, it's heaven!!
Nestling in the gorgeous Kaya Valley which has the famous Ghost village, which has many local resturants serving delicious fresh Turkish food, but 10 mins drive and you are in the bustling port of Fethye or world remowned Olu Deniz beach. If it's night life you are after Hisaranou is full of shops, eating places and nightclubs.
We have travelled to many areas of Turkey, but Karmylassos draws us back year after year....absolute UTOPIA.
