We stayed for 2 nights at Hotel Cailler but decided to go elsewhere for our second evening meal and how pleased we were! The décor itself was really charming in the local Gruyère region tradition with wooden pannelling, cow bells, etc. The service was very friendly and the food was excellent in a tradtional Swiss style but with a touch of sophistication. The young chef came round to shake hands with the clients and, as we were interested in coming back to Charmey, he kindly showed us one of the hotel rooms which was really attractive and well-equipped - at CHF100 less per night compared to Hotel Cailler, we will defiinitly make this hotel our choice if we go back!
