A big group of us stayed in the houses for my sisters hen. It was a great start to a great night away. Houses were spacious and were perfect for having a few drinks before we headed into town. The hotel is just outside the town of Dungarvan and is within walking distance. The receptionists gave us a number of a minibus company who bought us into town for next to nothing. The staff were extremely helpful when we needed anything. I would highly reccommend this hotel and Dungarvan for a Hen Party

Best points - value for money, two-night deal and the quality of the food. Early check-in and lovely staff. Availability of kids club and location close to town.
Just so so - decor, crowds of families with kids and very busy breakfast room, pool area.
Not good - room near to reception and talkative night staff. Didn't sleep properly for two nights - even tried sleeping in the bath to get some peace!
All in all - will return but will ask for a room away from reception.

Room Tip: Don't stay close to reception!

This hotel ticked all the boxes for a family of 24 along with the local area. From the welcome at reception to the clean most comfortable rooms to the friendly helpful catering/bar staff you could not find fault. The bar and restaurant food was excellent, great choice and very fairly priced. The location suited young and old, from talking a walk on Clonee Beach, to the Cliff walk in Ardmore, golfing at the Gold Coast to shopping down the town, everyone was catered for. In these times of recession, this hotel has positioned itself very well in suiting the pockets of people, well done. Have not seen a hotel or staff so busy in years, keep it up.

Room Tip: The Ground Floor to the back of the hotel

I stayed at this hotel in September 2013 and found it to be just average. It's in walking distance of Dungarvan, the location is the only good thing about the hotel.

We stayed there mid-week for two nights. Our room was at the very end / back of the hotel. We had to walk through four of five double doors to reach our room. The room was dark and overlooked a 'skip'. The furnishings were dated and it needed a coat of paint at the very least. We asked to change rooms and got a room upstairs which was brighter and closer to the reception. The view was towards the back of the hotel but it was slightly larger, however there was a damp smell from the bathroom..

We had dinner that evening in the hotel and it was busy. We ordered wine but had finished our starter before the wine arrived. The veg and potatoes were lumpy and there was too much oil and butter in the main course. During our meal there were small flies at our table (which were also there during breakfast) and there was an unpleasant/unclean smell generally(carpet?). I ordered 'Praline pie' for dessert but it was actually pecan pie - (someone needs to change the menu). Breakfast was of a similar quality - coffee was terrible. We ordered porridge but when it arrived (late) it was half cooked..

On our last morning we were woken before 7am by the fire alarm which then continued intermittently for the next 15 minutes.

I never manged to go to the pool or the gym so am unable to comment on that service.

Room Tip: Upstairs, try and get a room with a view towards the front of the hotel.

We again had the pleasure of returning to the Holiday Home at the Park Hotel, we actually had the same house, how great. Again superb, only this time we had fantastic weather, not that it really matters, there is so much to do. I have the opportunity to visit family and friends, while the remainder of the family have the world at their feet to enjoy the attractions of Dungarvan. Ideal spot for a holiday or short break, with every amenity you could wish for. The staff could not do enough. I mention to the staff about a blockage with the shower, walked up town to get a newspaper and could not believe that when I returned (not 20 minutes later) the problem was sorted - excellent excellent service. Many thanks to Pierce and all the staff - Keep up the good work and see you all again soon

Room Tip: Make the most of the amenities, you'll kick yourself if you dont!

I stayed here for business purposes. A colleague booked so I don't know how that went. The best thing about the hotel is the location - just a short walk from the centre of Dungarvan and with pleasant views of the Colligan river. For driving purposes, it is very accessible from the N25. My impressions of the building itself: unexciting presentation at the front, a pleasant reception area and bar, and an inexplicable huddle of extensions. My bedroom and ensuite bathroom were clean and tidy. The only fault was that there were no batteries in the safe lock. My colleagues and I had dinner in the restaurant - €19.50 for 2 courses and tea or coffee. No one complained about the main course but what was billed as a praline pie turned out to be a rather substandard pecan pie. Check-in and check-out were efficient. All staff were willing and able. None of us used the leisure centre so we can't comment.

We stayed at this hotel for one night, the first hotel room we were offered did not have internet access so i rang reception i was given the password but wasnt informed that it did not work in the room we were in, so I rang back and asked for an alternative room, when we managed to get into a room the carpet had dirty marks and the shower needed a revamp, but the Internet worked. This hotels decor and fittings are weary but staff are pleasant within the hotel.
The breakfast room carpet needed a desperate deep clean,(I did express my concerns to reception before leaving ) breakfast was very average.
