“Fresh food, gr8t range of coffee, old style comfortable interior, Hospitable staff, kids corner, a little expensive”
Reviewed April 7, 2013

Family visit for lunch. Good sambo's, fresh and tasty. Coffee, latte varied menu. Kids corner, though no kids option or menu offered - so we got adult size, and all that side salad just got wasted. Very friendly staff - wrapped our leftovers, even scraps for ducks, and told us where to find them. Food fest was on that wend but not talked about, so I guess this cafe was not taking part - pity. Bill was a little expensive. Sandwiches coming in at €6.50 not inc tea or coffee. Good interior and ambiance.

“Great place to warm up & yummy lunch”
Reviewed April 3, 2013

I stopped in on a very cold and windy day for lunch and a hot chocolate to warm up. The pesto chicken sandwich and bean and beet salads were very good and I enjoyed perusing through the stack of cookbooks on the shelves next to my table. Would definitely stop in again.

“BLT €9.00 Complete Rip-Off!”
Reviewed April 1, 2013

Visited this restaurant today for lunch. It looked very promising on the way in, decor was very nice. We went to the counter to order and took a few moments to decide, there were no prices on the menu board. I decided on a chicken wrap and hubby had a BLT on brown bread, we also had 2 Americanos. The bill came to €20.00!! It turned out the BLT cost €9.00!!!! When I queried it I was told it comes with salads, so we waited to see what would arrive, the salads were lettuce & tomato more like a garnish! and some crisps. Food was tasty but not worth €9.00, the coffees were extremely weak also. I thought rip-off Ireland was gone, really disgraceful, they should review their prices. Maybe it was an April Fool not very funny.

“It's hard to get served”
Reviewed March 31, 2013

We got overpriced very average toasted sandwiches. Even though there was no queue, it took about 10 minutes to get their attention so we could order. It wasn't worth the wait. They give you chips and a small side salad drowned in salad dressing with your sandwiches. It would be nicer if the accompaniments were a bit healthier.
