“Great stay in "Fungarvan"”

We stayed in Lawlors on a hen party. As organiser of the hen (20 girls) I found it very easy to organise the amt of rooms required etc with Olive as we had drop outs along the way as normally happens with a large group. The location of the hotel was fantastic, right in the centre of the town with pubs / restaurants all within a minutes walk. The manager on charge and the other staff members that we dealt with on the evening of our arrival went over and beyond what we would have expected to ensure that we had a fantastic experience in this hotel.

had a surprise party (35) for family member staff couldnt have been more helpful with the org. from rooms to music to cake. Try the steak, and the fish, and well priced. Well done thank you very much to all the staff.

Room Tip: ask for a good room

The Hotel was very clean, the Staff from the Domestic Staff, the Dining Room and Bar Staff were very efficient and curtious. At reception your enquiries about most everything you needed to know was exceptional. The Dining was first rate and the quality of food and presentation very good. The location of the Hotel could not be better for shopping and Dining out if you wanted.
The Town of Dungarvan was very nice and the people seemed ready to help you when they could. In my particular case tracing family Heritage and at the Library every effort was made to help me. Joanne was a first class. Also at the Museum, there seemed to be someone who new someone.
A most enjoyable time and we hope to return.

I stayed in this Hotel last January with my family for a birthday celebration and we had a fantastic night, the staff went out of their way to make it a memorable night. We stayed in 4 double rooms and one family room, the room I stayed in had a four poster bed and overlooked the harbour and it was newly redecorated the room the children stayed in was in the back of the hotel and it was also newly decorated, the other three couples who stayed had no problem with their rooms. The staff separated the dining room and we had a room all to ourselves for the dinner which was great as we also had 7 children with us ranging in age from 17 to 6yrs. The food we had that night was 5 star quality and the children were catered for very well with half portions of the adults menu if they wanted it. I'm very surprised with the bad reviews about this hotel maybe people expect 5 star standard and accommodation for small family run hotel prices. The car park in the back was a bonus as the hotel is so central, i was a bit concerned about parking especially with a pile of kids with us, I have recommended this hotel to our friends who have families and they have also had a good experience

Just Back from Lawlors Hotel, We had a great time, the rooms where comfortable, clean and spacious. The Hotel staff where very friendly and helpfull. We ate in the Restaurant on both nights as it had came highly recommended by friends that had previously stayed there, and i have to say what an excellent choice we had, the food was fantastic.
Having read previous reviews, i was a bit hesitant in staying here, but too be honest i dont know what all the fuss was about, We really had an enjoyable stay and i couldn't fault this hotel at all.

Ended up staying in this hotel because the hotel the wedding we were attending was booked out.

As others have said the lobby looks well, but beyond that it needs a lot to be desired.

The room was extremely dated but clean, the corridors to the room were very shabby. Over all the price of €130 for the room for a night was well over priced

The staff are pleasant but I have never had such a chaotic breakfast in my life, there was no management of the dining room at all. Clients came and went, tables were left uncleaned as clients piled up dirty dishes on a nearby table to make room for themselves. The dining room staff were under severe pressure because there was no one to organise them.
