“Outstanding accommodation!”
Reviewed August 27, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

I'm writing this review just 48 hours from leaving this wonderful holiday rental apartment. The rural setting is really beautiful and the two year old stable conversion looks brand new. It has been fitted out with top quality units and equipment. Each of the three bedrooms is ensuite and each room has its own TV and underfloor heating. The owners are extremely friendly and most helpful. This is an excellent centre to explore not only the immediate attractions of Co. Leitrim (of which there are many) but other places further afield such as Donegal, Sligo, Enniskillen, Athlone and other smaller towns and villages. Even though we have had some very wet weather at times this week, we have still managed to make every day worthwhile. Finally the rental is extremely good value for money!

“Most beautiful and comfortable vacation rental in Ireland”

We stayed here for a week in the middle of 2 weeks in Ireland. The pond/small lake was right across the lawns and we caught several pike (up to 5 lb) from the free boat. The small town of Ballinamore was nearby and just down the road were a couple of pubs. The family that owns this property is 3 generations living here still. The stone stables opposite the main house (where there are also rooms) has 4 spacious apartments--we had 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a 'great room' with full kitchen, dining area and living room. All was beautifully restored and comfortable. There were laundry facilities and the hosts, Patrick and Julie, were so friendly and helpful.

Had an amazing stay, owners Patrick and Julie made us feel at home and where very welcoming and warm. The kids really appreciated Patrick letting them ride his grass cutter lol, would recommend staying here 100%. Accommodation is fantastic and location is great, Quinn's bar, a few minutes walk away has the best Guinness in Ireland

“Relaxing, Friendly, Comfortable”

On arrival we received a friendly welcome from owner Patrick, with complimentary cake and milk, shown how to work the kitchen appliances and heating controls. We stayed in "The Stables", 3 bedroom ground floor apartment, nicely equipped kitchen/living/dining area with a quality feel, 3 spacious bedrooms all with flat screen TV's (2 en-suite) and a separate bathroom, there is underfloor heating throughout with individual zones. Lots of character inside and outside with exposed stonework and oak woodwork , sliding sash windows to the front and a cobbled yard with barbecue and patio area and laundry room. The main house also oozes charm, and it all sits in spacious gardens and grounds overlooking the Fenagh lough in one direction and the Abbey ruins in another, the owners provide open Canadian canoes, paddles and life jackets to get out onto the water, and also a range of bicycles and helmets for the local roads, or an electric treadmill with a flat screen TV.
Time to relax taking in the views, there are some picnic tables and summer seats in the garden, and the great hot tub for the evenings with views to the lake and abbey, nothing was too much trouble to the owners. There was a kids play area and rope swings from the mature trees, and with the range of family pets, and horses these all add interest and a relaxed family feel.
