I stayed at the Relais Ca’ Sabbioni for 3 nights with my wife and used it as a base for exploring Venice. I had some reservations over the distance to Venice but I was actually relieved to be able to escape the crowds and high prices of Venice after full days of sightseeing.

We arrived late in the evening on our first day but were checked in quickly and shown to our room in person, which was a nice touch. The room was spacious with everything we needed for our stay. The bathroom was lovely and it was useful to have a safe to keep valuables in. The balcony looked out over the main road but it was not an issue and gave us something to look at whilst enjoying our nightly glass/es of Prosecco!

We only made it to breakfast on one morning of our stay, but the variety and quality of the food was good. We didn’t have an evening meal in the restaurant, but did enjoy their selection of wines.

Overall, I would certainly recommend this hotel as an alternative to staying in Venice, where the crowds can be exhausting. The bus stop is directly opposite the hotel and tickets can be purchased at the campsite next door to the hotel. There is also a small shop on the campsite if you need essentials, and the campsite bar sells drinks at a very reasonable price (Spritz for 2.5 Euros…) and they will order takeaway pizza for you. There is also a pizzeria restaurant up the road (Al Ponte) which I can thoroughly recommend. A special mention should be made to the hotel’s night porter/manager who was exceptionally helpful.

It was a wonderful surprise to find out such amazing modern installations in an old villa. The staff were really kind and helpful and very nice breast fast, just cooked for you: Running fried eggs, please. And there they were a few minutes late in front of you.

Room tip: Avoid room at the back looking over the camping site during summer time. Quite during winter and early spring.

Dear Lola,
Thank You very much for your appreciations.
Our hotel was an ancient Venetian villa restored just few years ago, that is why it combines ancient elements and modern ones.
We always follow our Guests since the very first moment they arrive here and try to offer the best service possible. That is why for breakfast we prepare everything at the moment, to guarantee quality, taste and freshness.
Regards.

Arrived late and was greeted in a very warm and friendly way. Taken to our room and given a complimentary welcome drink. The room was exquisite. Very modern and clean with a balcony. Considering hotel is on a main road, was surprisingly quiet. Hotel did account for noise though as provided ear plugs next to beds. Bed was the comfiest by far. Bus stop directly opposite the hotel with a 30 minute bus ride into central Venice where you can either walk towards st marks square or get the water taxi. Breakfast was lovely. Good variety. Quick and easy check out. Mini bar was reasonably priced.

Really pleasant staff, Anna and Michele in particular. Rooms nice, we were upgraded during our stay and enjoyed the good standard of cleanliness and working appliances in both rooms. We ate two evening meals which were both pleasant and not expensive(compared to Venice). Bus stop for Venice outside hotel. Best way to get there and not expensive.

My husband and I took a vacation for our second anniversary, and stayed at this hotel. First impression was incredible. The staff is so kind and at your disposal every second. They gave us the better room than we booked, with no extra charge. The room was incredible. The bed was so comfortable, we really enjoyed all the time.
Breakfast is so rich and there is something for everyone.
This hotel is 12km from Venice, but there is a bus station in front of the hotel, and bus drives every 20-30min to Venice. We truly recommend this hotel if you wanna great hotel for a good price.
If we ever go back to Venice, this hotel is going to be our destination again.
