“A little piece of paradise”
Reviewed July 4, 2012

This was a wonderful place to stay - everything we'd dreamed about for a place in Tuscany and more. The staff were amazingly helpful and the place was stunning. There are numerous terraces to sit at and enjoy a glass of wine. The pool was gorgeous and a welcome relief as we were there in some unseasonably hot weather. The rooms were cool and the breakfast devine. There was a 24hour coffee machine which made lovely coffee and the fruit in the morning was a highlight. The views were beautiful..... couldn't fault it

The hotel and grounds are extraordinarily beautiful, and the staff is kind and helpful. Breakfast is fresh and healthy, the hotel is very clean and beautifully decorated. The grounds and location, however, are the real stunners. When we stepped out onto the open area overlooking the countryside, I was absolutely floored.

Thank you David and Rodrigo for your hospitality and providing a beautiful experience in Tuscany!

My husband and I just returned from a 5 night stay at this wonderful place! If you are looking for a convienent location in Tuscany, with amazing veiws of olive trees and vineyards, that is decorated in traditional tuscan farm house decor with excellent service thatn this is your place.
From the moment we arrived we were treated so kindly by Davide, the manager who truely went out of his way to make everything perfect! We checked in on Oct 4 and we were pleasantly surprised to hear that only one other couple would be coming that week so since we were the first to arrive, we were able to pick our room. I picked #11 because it had a small kitchen area so we could store wine, drinks, and small snacks and because as soon as you walk out of the room it had the most AMAZING view! The room was perfect and very comfortable. We had a breakfast each morning that included pastries, meats, cheeses, ect which is typical of the Italian breakfast which was enough to keep us until lunch time. We used this location as our base and traveled to the small hilltowns from here. Thanks soo very much to Davide for making our stay so enjoyable!

Fantastic place....Everything was perfect and lovely! Very close to the lively Florence, but at the same time, quiet and relaxing, immersed on the Tuscan hills.
The rooms are nicely furbished and the whole place is super clean and comfortable. The swimming pool is always open, the coffee corner is available 24hrs a day, with a coffee maker which makes cappuccino, espresso, hot chocolate, tea and cookies. Free wifi in the lobby, in some rooms and in the terrace.
Davide is the perfect host. He makes you feel at home and he is incredibly informative and available to satisfy each request and answer to any questions. He gives excellent suggestions about restaurants, places to visit, roads to take...and he always smiles. He's really cordial, but I have to say that everyone else is as kind as him.
Perfect place for a perfect vacation!!!!

Overall: This place is fabulous and is not to be missed. If you are looking to stay in Tuscany, this is your place. Lots of character, quality, convenience and excellent value, what more could you ask for?

Location: Located on the Chianti wine roads, this B&B is tucked away on a hill, overlooking olive groves and vineyards. The view is breathtaking and exactly what you can imagine. It is within walking distance to the town which makes going for walks and long dinners much more convenient. It's a 20-minute drive to Florence and close enough to everything else in the area that you are able to do day trips. But you won't want to leave!

Room:
This is a B&B. We stayed in room four which was in the main house. It was well-appointed (incl. hair dryer), and a very nice size. The room was decorated absolutely beautifully, with quality fixtures and fabrics. Beautiful hardwood floors, gorgeous rain shower and large wardrobes made us feel at home. The bed had a wayward spring, and this was my only complaint. The room in the main hotel photo is actually the room we had (the orangey-red one).

The Amenities:

Breakfast is served every morning and includes the usual suspects, meat slices, cheese, fruit, yogurt, bread etc. There is one of those coffee machines that makes all different types of coffee, this is available at any time of the day.
The pool is an infinity pool with an amazing view. It feels like paradise! The pool is not heated so look forward to taking a refreshing dip and then laying out on the beautiful beach chairs.
Many days we headed in to the local store for some cheese, bread, fruit and wine, and then took lunch or dinner on the patio overlooking the hillside!

The rest of the hotel and grounds are beautifully appointed and manicured. There is a daily maid service, and they do a wonderful job.

The man who runs the hotel is very helpful and personable, but knows when to 'disappear' and let you enjoy yourself. He is helpful with all things from restaurant recommendations to drawing you maps, to telling you where to park.

Do not hesitate for a second in booking here. It is incredible value and I would stay there again without a doubt. Bring a wine opener as there are not any in the rooms.

Highly recommended. The hotel is conveniently located just North of the town of Impruneta which is a short (~20 min) drive from Florence. Despite this, the hotel is definitely in the country with wide, sweeping views of Tuscany (plus a few power lines). The pool is absolutely gorgeous and has nice patio furniture. The hotel's exterior and interior are in excellent condition and very quaint. The bathrooms are good-sized and modern with fancy shower heads. The breakfast buffett was quite good - the usual spread of pastries, cold cereal, fruit, and yogurt plus cold lunch meats and sliced cheeses. The only downsides of this hotel are that the parking lot is around a tight bend, the breakfast room is small so if it's raining outside, you have to eat and leave to allow the next people to sit, and the manager who helps with winery and restaurant reservations is only available during regular working hours. This last point can make it difficult to get assistance with bookings before or after a day of sightseeing. Oh, another plus, the hotel has great A/C.

When is a B&B not a B&B, when it's iI Colle.
This is just such a perfect place. We used it as our starting point for our 2011 tandem cycling holiday in the Chianti / Siena region. Ideal location for visiting Florence which we did by using public transport. So much easier than driving.
The whole property and pool were so immaculate. The rooms delightful and breakfast, whether taken inside or out, just great. Together with wonderful views over the surrounding countryside.
We were not disappointed.
