We spent three days based upon a recommendation from friends. The hotel is lovely, and we were welcomed very professionally. Our room was large and fabulous with a very large deck area. One problem there are large, heavy sliding doors that led out to the deck/patio area. Problem was that there were no handles on the outside to open the sliding door to get back in.. My wife could not open it from the patio. We figured out how to get back into our room, but this is something they need to address. Do not eat in the bar area. We wanted a light lunch and ordered one sandwich to share and two glasses of rose wine. We were charged 54 Euros ($60.00 USD) - 18 Euros for a 0ne glass of rose wine ($20 USD) is a total rip off. We had dinner in their restaurant and the service and food was very good. We expected it to be pricey (which it was), but felt the dinner was of very good quality and service was excellent. Overall, this is a very expensive place to stay, and we would say it was not worth the price.
Wow! What an incredibly special place in a stunning location in the heart of Tuscany. From the moment we arrived it utterly surpassed our expectations in every way. From the warm welcome to all the little touches during our stay, the beautiful Limonia Suite we stayed in with stunning views of the Tuscan countryside, an infinity pool that dreams are made of, a divine spa to relax in, dinner that was superb and all the recommendations we were given that made our stay so fantastic. Thank you so much to all the staff for your warmth, kindness and truly exceptional service. Highly recommend this peaceful and tranquil oasis in Tuscany.

The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and the scenery just amazing. We were thrilled to be upgraded to a Suite, with one of the most beautifully appointed bathrooms. Sunset drinks overlooking the valley are just like the pictures, only better in real life!

This hotel is a special place. The grounds are magnificent set atop a Tuscan hill. The staff is exceedingly helpful with remarkable service. The concierge did not steer us wrong with any recommendations; they were all excellent. Our room was beautiful and had some nice appointments such as chargers and outlets that were easily accessible. The bathrooms are large and the beds are quite comfortable. We enjoyed our stay immensely and hope to return.
The location of the hotel is amazing and the views are breathtaking. One of the most beautiful hotels that we have stayed at. The rooms are also beautiful.
As others have mentioned, service can be great but it is not consistent. Sometimes orders or requests have to be made multiple times and the individuals that you communicate to do not take ownership of the request or follow through to ensure that is completed. For example, during one breakfast service we had been waiting for coffee to be served for over 10 minutes. When a follow-up request was made, the waiter asked us if we had asked for the coffee before and when we informed the waiter that we had, he took that as meaning that he wasn't responsible for the order and didn't have to follow-up.
That being said, there are members of the staff that are exemplary and that go out of their way to make us feel welcome, and at home.
With better training, the service level could match the beauty of the property which really is second to none.
The experiences offered at the property (safari, pasta making, etc.) are all done to a very high standard though and while expensive, offer unique experiences that we were happy to participate in.
