Went for dinner with a friend. The service was good, the food great and everyone, staff and visitors included, seemed to have a great time. The antipasta is amazing with a wide amount of choices. There was no menu, but we where informed of possibilities for the main courses - all very good.
I'ts a place worth visiting.

Have been eating here for several years now, and it is always an enjoyable experience. This time there was a very limited choice of main courses as the restaurant was hosting a large corporate do which had taken over the whole of the ground floor, so we were tucked away in the downstairs area with the wine tanks. Forewarned by Alessia we chose our starters from the buffet before the corporate party. The choice is exceptional. As it was by birthday the deserts were served with a sparkler and the whole staff came to sing me Happy Birthday and I was given a bottle of wine. We will be back again in October as this is always one of the highlights of our stay in Tuscany.

Four of us ate last Thursday on the first evening of our weekend break.
I'd booked this place because it appeared to be virtually next door to where we were staying, although it turned out to be a couple of kilometers away. No matter.
I didn't expect anything lavish, as the reviews on TA are quite mixed. However, we were very impressed.
Upon arrival, there seemed to be some sort of reception gathering going on in the front garden. The garden itself is decorated with a variety of statues of animals, some cut in half ? Certainly an unusual and nice place to hold a reception in good weather.
We were a bit nervous and wondered if they had our reservation, as there were already so many people there. Then we were welcomed so warmly by the proprietors, that we thought they had mistaken us for someone else ! But no, they knew who we were, seemed delighted to see us, and we were quickly shown to our table.
We were seated in the 'basement', which was actually beside the wine storage containers. Some still seemed to be in use. Very authentic.
There are no menus.
The first course is a buffet of mixed platters of all sorts of local produce. It certainly looked impressive, and was very tasty. We were advised to tuck in before the reception party came in.
I assumed that this was a special spread for the evening, but apparently not. The same is served every evening.
Next we had a pasta course which was also very nice.
I could not manage another course, but our men certainly tucked in and enjoyed theirs.
The service was a bit distracted by the reception going on 'upstairs', but we didn't have to wait long and we were not disturbed by these other diners.
We had some pleasant local wines, and the meal cost around £50 a head overall. We thought a reasonable price for what we had.
A great start to our holiday !

We have been eating here consistently a couple of times in the year for almost 10 years now. Alessia and family are always a pleasure. Antipasta is a always fantastic; never have room for pasta course; main courses are Tuscan at its best; if you have room for dolce that's fine too. Their own wine is superb and we've always bought a case home with us every year. Highly recommended for a brilliant meal but not eat every day. You will have to book as it is always full - mainly with Italians which is always a good sign.

This flashy restaurant is all about image with little in the way of substance when delivering good quality food.

An excellent buffet of starters is superb value but the pasta and main course dishes are not worth the money.

The hostess flirts with the men and gives you every attention until you have ordered but then disappears. Service is generally good but lacks any sincerity. It just did not match up to other superior restaurants in the area.
