My husband and I just got back from at trip to Italy and this property was one of our stays and I have to say it was our most favorite. We had a one bedroom apartment with kitchen, bath, fireplace, hot tube right outside our door.Wonderful location for day trips. The owners, Roberto and Fiorella, there son and daughter and staff could not have been nicer. They were gracious hosts. So helpful! Great recomendations and help with directions. We did a cooking class with Fiorella and it was one of the highlights of our trip. We hated to leave! Definetly will go back.

Room Tip: I don't think you could go wrong with any rooms at this place. We were in C1 which we up a fligh...

This location is truly a gem. From the moment that we "checked in" until we we had to bid farewell, the Nannetti's made us feel like we were staying with long-lost family members. We couldn't have felt more at home. We stayed in one of the apartments adjacent to the main building. It's in a lovely stone building along a road that has linked Montalcino with adjacent villages for centuries. Now that is country charm!

Driving our tiny rental car thru the hills of Tuscany was amazing on its own. However, when we pulled into Agriturisomo La Crociona, and stepped out of our car, then we were truly amazed! This was the Italy we had come so far to immerse yourselves into. We were charmed right away. After meeting Barbara and Roberto, we felt like one of the family. Warm, caring and so much fun! What a treat to stay in our own little apartment, on such a beautiful vineyard! Our kitchen allowed us the chance to shop the local farmers market, mingle with the locals and bring home fresh produce. Our patio offered the perfect dining experience. Barbara gave us wonderful dining suggestions in Montalcino, very much appreciated. The exquisite Brunello wine they produce is absolutely the best! Our stay with our new friends, was the highlight of our 14 day trip. Yes, it was sad to say arrivedeci

Room Tip: not sure of the apartment we had. We stayed in a walk up and loved it.

My husband and I enjoyed a three month tour of Italy with no reservations in 2002. La Crociona was an absolute highlight. We arrived unannounced in the evening and received the warmest welcome. We had planned to stay one night. Seven nights later we left with a heart full of joy and priceless memories. I am thrilled to find the family and farm thriving so successfully. I would highly recommend socializing with the delightful family, enjoying their premium wines and exploring the enchanting surrounding areas. We can not wait to return and soak up the unparalleled hospitality and sip the fruits of their labor.

We stayed at La Crociona in July 2013 for four nights with our two teenage daughters and our eleven year old son. Fiorella, Paolo, Barbara, and Roberto immediately made us feel right at home and were able to help us plan our day trips. From Montalcino we day tripped to Florence, Assisi, Sienna, and the beach at Grossetto. In the evenings, we enjoyed the lovely pool area and even enjoyed a couple of meals outside at the various outdoor seating areas. Bonus: Roberto shared some of his wonderful homemade cheesecake and Barbara was so very kind to do our laundry while we were busy on our day trips. The Brunello wine produced on the property is outstanding, and there is a lovely restaurant within a 5 minute walk down the path that was one of the best meals we had during our eight days in Italy. We stayed in Apartment A, which provided two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a separate pullout sofa for our son, and a fully equipped kitchen.

Room Tip: Apartment A was great for our family of five.

Our family of 4 with 2 teenagers LOVED our stay here. The surroundings are beautiful, peaceful, relaxing and so friendly. We had a private terrace with fragrant jasmine, overlooked their garden and the rolling Tuscany hills. The natural spring fed pool and area around it is a wonderful place to read a book, sip wine, and enjoy afternoons for a siesta. The Volterra location was ideal to explore the many hill towns. Our room was beautiful and very comfortable. Ideal for a couple and our family. The slower pace of Tuscany and this lovely agriturismo was a highlight of our Italy vacation. I highly recommend this Tuscany treasure!

We were visiting in May 2013, Barbara and her family are very nice (and very Italian! :) ), they have a few cabinets and its great for families (there is a kitchen etc) or long term because it is like a little house so you can really feel comfortable to take your stuff out and buy some food etc. the wine they make in the place is GREAT! we had such a good wine tasting that we got another bottle and drunk it right there on the terrace. we also ended up taking a few bottles home (it was 10 euro each which is a very reasonable price!). there is a very good restaurant a few minutes away, and beside that there is a little vineyard to walk around. it gets pretty chilled during the night (and we didn't find the heating until the morning! our bad tho but ask in advance hahaha)
very nice place, if you are looking for something very quite and dont want to stay inside Montalcino we highly recommend.

Room Tip: they have a smaller house for couples and larger houses for families
