“Fantastic night out!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 12, 2014

I work at Castiglion Del Bosco Hotel as a golf professional. This is my local hot spot for appetizers, drinks after work or sometimes late night dancing on the weekend. Great location for food, fantastic staff and best music!

“Fresh, homemade pastas and sauces and great wines...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 8, 2014

Great place for casual, reasonable meals. Tamara makes all her own sauces. My favorite is the wild boar ragu and I get it every year when I go for lunch when I'm in the area. Love the soups and salads too. Seems like one of the few places where the salads actually mean more than lettuce, tomato, and carrots! They are a meal! It's also the only game in town after 10 p.m. for some music, a nice digestivo or grappa on the piazza. And probably the only place for miles that
knows how to make a decent cocktail. It's a magnet for locals and tourists alike... and they often host special events; Djs, etc., which is a blessing when you don't feel like driving too far afield....service can be slow when they are busy, but that's the whole country!!! I love it.

“Best pasta I've ever tasted!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 26, 2013

Whilst being taken on a private tour of the Val D'Orcia region, our guide recommended this restaurant as a nice stop for lunch. The setting was pleasant and the service was good - even though staff were did not speak much English they were well mannered :) If you do eat here make sure you try their home-made spaghetti - absolutely delicious! They had a good range of sauces to choose from too. Also, we ate outside in the patio but the views from inside were lovely! We thought the prices were pretty good too :)

“Nice spot in Montalcino”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 13, 2013 via mobile

We had lunch yesterday with my wife at this place and it was good. We had a nice table located in the internal square of a historical place. The food chosen was good classic hits, well prepared (salad caprese as a starter and picci with cinghiale ragu as a second plate). Service was friendly and price moderate, including two good glasses of Brunello di Montalcino. This place was recommended to us by a local wine producer (Cerbaiona) and we were not disappointed.

“A Stop For Wine”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 30, 2013

Sitting on this quiet piazza was a perfect place to enjoy the special wine of the area. We enjoyed a Brunello 2008 and a toasted cheese Panini along with a fresh pear. The view of the countryside from inside the restaurant is spectacular. Best view from a bathroom that I have ever seen!
