Quite a decent hotel, but not great.
The problem with most Italian hotels is that they are old established buildings which were built probably 100 years ago, As a result they are grand but old fashioned and tired. Here the reception area is totally under used. The restaurant is on the top floor , which is great for the truly fabulous view and the bar is on the 4th floor. The lifts are small and have a mind of their own,
The room was sparse but functional. The food was disappointing , and very repetitive, breakfast never varied from one day to the next . When oh when will they supply kettles for boiled water for a decent cup of tea. The staff were rushed as everyone seemed to want to eat at the same time, if they had staggered dinner times things would be so much better
Oh by the way take your own teaspoons, for use in the restaurant , they simply didn't have them.More
