Owner description: Villa Carlotta welcomes you with its magnificent botanic garden and art masterpieces in over 70.000 square metres of gardens and museum. Beautiful gardens - lose half a day wandering around admiring the range of plants and the stunning views across the lake. The little cafe in the grounds is also worth a visit for lunch - fresh tasty food served swiftly and with a smile.

Villa Carlotta is a very pleasant and well known attraction on Lake Como. It is located in a very nice point of the Lake in front of Bellagio and close to Menaggio and Cernobbio (very tipical villages on the lake). It is very nice to visit the Villa inside due to tye architecture and the luxury together the wonderful view, but in my opinion the most beautiful part of the voisit is the Garden. Located along the hillis very well kept. The best period to be there is in end of April/ May due to the many variery of flowers and especially Azaleas. Take time for very nice pictures. It is possible to arrive at Villa Carlotta by road or , even better , by public boat.

Cashier refused to apply student discount for us. Staff didn't speak english so we was forced to pay double fee despite applying for the discount.

We have just returned from Lake Como and one of the highlights of our stay was visiting the Villa Carlotta. The gardens were ablaze with azaelias, rhodedendrons and camellias in full flower. It also had a fabulous bamboo garden, delighful flower borders and a magnificent walkway covered in oranges and lemons. Add to this the lake views and you have perfection.

We had seen the garden on the Monty Don programme and it did live up to what you saw on the programme. Everywhere was clean and tidy. we spent a afternoon in the garden and sat on the terrace over looking the lake in glorious sunshine. A lovely display of wisteria and azaleas where blooming when we visited.
