What a gorgeous hotel,
I would stay there again in a heart beat.
Expensive but worth it for a special occasion.
Stayed in room 417 overlooking the lake with a balcony. Worth paying the extra for a room with a view.

Grand is an excellent description of this luxurious and beautiful hotel. We stayed two nights in April in a corner room facing the garden with a partial lake view. The room was quiet and well appointed. Service was excellent our entire stay. Everyone was cheerful and helpful. The bed was very comfortable, the room was a good size, the bathroom was clean and well decorated. Of all the hotels we stayed at during our 3 week trip to Italy this was the best. Traffic noise was almost non existent in our room.

We ate dinner in the restaurant one night and had breakfast two mornings. Each time we sat on the fully enclosed terrace with magnificent views of Lake Como. This was a highlight of our stay. The food was good, but the view and quiet, well appointed atmosphere and incredible service are what you are paying for. The cost is quite high for dinner, but we felt it was worth the expenditure.

We went for lunch at this beautiful hotel and we were not disappointed. We both had the Fillet stake which was amazing . We had panoramic views the sun shining down on us,on a beautiful spring day. The whole experience was very romantic and magical you could not ask for anymore.

I would highly recommend this place for lunch.
We had a look a round the hotel and their Gardens after lunch it was all so so beautiful.
My husband and I both loved it!!

We stayed here on a short honeymoon in October 2012 and were delighted by the venue and the service. From the moment we arrived, the staff were fantastic; attentive yet discreet. We had booked one of the rooftop suites (ideal if your budget allows) providing us with a wonderful view of the lake and a hot tub to relax in and enjoy the sunset.

The hotel has kept its historic charm with a touch of modern styling inside. It was a pleasant bonus to be able to have breakfast on the balcony at no extra charge every morning; as was the complimentary wi-fi (something I believe should be standard in all hotels in this day and age!). The hotel food was a little pricey but there are plenty of restaurants nearby as well as ferry stops allowing you to visit other areas around the lake. Also, the spa is a wonderful place to relax, with great views over the lake form the indoor pool. It was too cold for us to try the outdoor pool, which is actually built into the lake!

Highly recommended hotel!

Room Tip: Go for the rooftop suites if you can!

Our new favourite hotel!

We have just returned from a five night stay at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo and we absolutely loved it. We felt so comfortable here. The hotel seems to have achieved a rare balance of luxury without being at all stuffy. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, always a cheerful hello.

We stayed in a superior garden view room (201) which had a pretty outlook over the park at the back of the hotel and up to Mount Tremezzo. It was spacious and nicely decorated with a fabulous bathroom. It was very peaceful. All amenities as you would expect (Including free Wi-Fi and BBC 1 & 2)

The public areas of the hotel are stunning. Comfortable salon and bar to relax in and bar terrace and restaurants with breathtaking views over the lake towards Bellagio. Walk up the path to the viewpoint in the garden and there are the most amazing views.

Food - We had meals in both restaurants. Food was pricey, but very good. Service in both restaurants was excellent. There are also several good local restaurants within an easy stroll if you want to eat out.

Location - If you want to visit Lake Como then we think that Tremezzo is an ideal spot to enable you to see all the attractions. There are two ferry stops within an easy stroll of the hotel giving access all around the central area of the lake (Bellagio, Menagio, Villa Balbianello, etc). Also lovely for walking up through the village and to Grianate for stunning views over the lake. If you have a car, also take a trip through the valley from Menagio over to Porlezzo where there is a pretty promenade and more lovely views over Lake Locano.

We hope to be able to return to the hotel again in future as it really is a lovely experience.

Having just got back from a 3 day work conference whereby the Company tool over the whole hotel, I feel compelled to write ro say what a lovely experience it was. The views are stunning, the reception rooms beautiful and the service was really outstanding. And the food was first class even mass catering for a very large group. I would certainly be happy to go back at my leisure. Well done Elena for running a wonderful team.

We spent the first few days of our honeymoon at Grand Hotel Tremezzo at the end of April 2012 having read wonderful things about the place. We were not to be disappointed. From the moment we left the car in the hotel's private garage, we were greeted by our own personal Conceirge 'Willie' who could not have done any more to help us during our stay.

We'd originally booked a deluxe room, but were given a compliamentary upgrade on check in to one of the hotel's 'yet to be offically opened' suites. The stylish room was decorated to an extremely high standard, and even had a hot tub on the balcony overlooking the lake. A few minutes after being shown to our room, we were presented with a bottle of Prosecco and chocolates. The bathroom was huge, and the bed wonderfully comfortable.

The breakfast each morning had a wide choice of food and drinks, and the staff would always try and place you at the best available table on the balcony. Service was extremely polite and efficient.

We could not have asked for a more perfect start to our honeymoon. If you have the opportunity to stay here, don't hesitate, just book! You will not regret it.

Room Tip: If you can splash out and get one of the luxurious top floor suites, you'll be in for a treat.
