Spectacular view and a wonderful time. Marcello and Maria couldn't have been more helpful! We could have stayed and enjoyed the view the whole time, but there are many interesting things to do on the Amalfi coast besides sightseeing. Marcello arranged a wine tour at Maria Cuomo winery and a tasting at Bacco restaurant. We enjoyed it so much that we returned for a cooking class the next day where we learned to make many different types of pasta- all of which were delicious. All in all this has been an forgettable stay!

We (2 adults and 2 children) stayed in Il Dolce Tramonto for 5 days in July. We stayed in the top floor apartment and it was lovely. Nicely decorated, spacious and has all necessary things. We had our own balcony and terrace and the view is spectacular. Beautiful view of the Mediterranean in a lovely peaceful and tranquil setting. Marcello was a wonderful host and provided us with loads of local information on hikes, restaurants, places to visit, parking, local festivals, etc. He also booked a boat trip to Capri for us which was wonderful and well worth doing. We really enjoyed going to the local town, Bomerano, which felt less touristy than other towns. The restaurants there are lovely and inexpensive. Overall I would definitely recommend Il Dolce Tramonto.

We had a wonderful week at the apartment. My son and I relaxed and hiked all the trails leaving from Bomerano square. It was a wonderful respite. The views are stunning and the setting is quiet. We walked into town and had great meals in the restaurants in town.

This beautiful home set on the top of the mountain between two towns is a magical location and was the ideal place to set-up our Home away from Home for the Amalfi Coast portion of our trip.
Finding the home was no problem with Google Maps on smarthpone, (i imagine GPS would be the ame) but beware, there are no streetname signs anywhere that I could see.

Do note that the town is about a 10-15 minute leisurely walk from the home, so if you are looking for something right in town, this is not it.... BUT it is more than made up for by the peace and solitude in the area..... and the VIEWS !!
We were made to feel instantly welcome by the hosts Marcello & Maria. Marcello had a number of suggestions & recommendations for us as it was our first time in the area. He even took us for the drive thru town to help us get oriented, pointing out the spots to go for provisions and to eat.

We mainly picked up stuff for breakfast and to make picnic lunches for our hikes or for the drives between towns, but eating in town was very affordable, with a surprising number of options.
The helpful information, pamphlets and business cards of establishments, provided by Marcello was just what we needed to make the most of our trip, he even had a Fodors guide to the area for us to borrow !

We actually enjoyed walking to town sometimemes, even though we had the car. So peaceful, with friendly locals tending the many gardens -vegetable, fruit and flower!!

The main part of town, is actually a couple of one way streets in a circle, so it is almost shorter to simply walk, weather & time permitting!!

We had the upper unit (Tramonto) which was large and had the best views. Everything you might need was provided, and I am sure if something essential was missing they would lend it to you....

My wife is Italian so we had no problem communicating. Marcello speaks some English, and I believe the daughters are comfortable in English. Maria dos not speak much English, but gestures & sign language is fun!

The towns of Positano, Amalfi, Praiano and Ravello are all within easy reach driving or by SITA bus. The lesser known town of Furore is below the home, and I believe the Home is actually in Bomerano or Agerola.... or perhaps the region is known as Agerola.

A car is very helpful, but the trip/stay could be done with the local Inter-town SITA bus and some walking. Driving the actual Amalfi area was more challenging than the initial approach to the home ...

We would be more than happy to return in the future.

Dear Mr. Warren, thank you so much for given feedback for our hotel so fantastic, I am very happy for us is very important, we have got to know you and we are very happy you are fantastic people, as you have stated you have recommended to serve at shops and restaurants in Agerola because c is a lot of choice and it is closer to reach from our hotel, we find ourselves FURORE we are the first homes we confine with Agerola we are very close and for us it is very useful to get to shops and restaurants .... thanks again for choosing us hope to see you soon best regards Maria & Marcello.

A comfortable, spacious, warm (we visited in early spring), clean and fun place to base our family while exploring the Amalfi coast, Pompeii and Herculaneum.
Our hosts are what makes southern Italy great. They were very welcoming when we first arrived, and invited us to their home for coffee and Italian cake before giving us useful details on how to get the most from our trip.
The apartment was clean, well stocked, the beds were comfortable, the dining room was spacious, and there was internet and three or four English-language news channels on the TV. The view of the coast from the very wide terraces was magnificent.
The only thing to bear in mind is that it's located in beautiful countryside but off the main road.
