This is a family-run restaurant, and the passion for the food and business each member has is immediately obvious. We stayed in Atrani for our honeymoon and ate at Savo twice, ordering appetizers, pasta, entrees and dessert both times - it's so good it's impossible to say no! The standouts for me were the fresh octopus salad and lavender chicken, and the delicious lemon cake. My husband enjoyed the fresh fish steamed in vanilla bourbon and lemon, and a pasta with walnut and anchovy pesto. The real magic here is the atmosphere, which made us feel like we were at a family party. The service is warm and exceptional, intuiting every need and accommodating any request. Every member of the very hard working staff was clearly focused on maximizing our experience - even the chef, who was wonderful and friendly. We love Savo and recommended it to everyone we met on the coast! Watch out for the homemade limoncello, it packs a punch.

“Love, love, love and can't wait to go back”
Reviewed September 30, 2013

These are real foodies who care about food and wine and I can't recommend enough. Situated in the main square in Atrani this small restaurant is a real find and if you're in the area do go! I had spaghetti with pesto (with a twist - ie its unusual to find pesto this far south and this pesto was creamy and very tasty). My husband had the escalope which again was cooked to perfection, potion size a little small he thought but yum! Lemon cake was not your usual lemon cake and was presented in a flourish by the chef himself - some outstanding sugar work going on here. Excellent presentation, good wine, service and I could go on but dont take my word for it try it yourself.

“Outstanding Pasta”
Reviewed September 29, 2013 via mobile

We were blown away by the food. Being in Italy & eating a lot of pasta you learn to pick out the good ones. That was certainly the case here. Topped with a nice glass of house wine, what more could you ask for. Definitely try this restaurant!!

“Hidden gem..savo”
Reviewed September 28, 2013

Having read great reviews, we booked for dinner at Savo and it's a find. Down below in Atrani, (just before u go through the tunnel to Amalfi from Marmorata)through the arch is a fairly new restaurant of 6 months, a complete family affair...Gerald's Savo,is the masterful chef, front of house service is by the lovely wife who was very proud of their 2sons, one in the kitchen in charge of the beautiful looking desserts, and one at the front with her. The house white wine was a nice surprise, far more what you would expect a fine dining place would consider quaffable compared to other house wines that are being sold and served in the area. The service was great, charming and the offering of beautifully fried anchovies served with house made bread was perfect. Our primi piatti were gnocchi with a creamy tomato sauce and pasta with a pesto made of herbs , walnuts from the area and anchovies, all great. The mains were fish in water, vanilla and bourbon & lemon...subtle and the flavours were clean to accompany the fresh fish but we loved the grilled fish with olive oil, garlic and mint...with a side order of grilled vegetables that held their bite and form! The dessert we ordered was ricotta and pear slice? Which was beautifully presented ad not too sickly sweet , the vanilla ice cream tasted and looked homemade. All impressive...downsides? Got bitten by a couple of hungry mossies...but I didn't pay for those. Wish we had a local that showed as much respect and love to their craft...
