“Great, great, great place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 9, 2013

Eva rooms are a really great place.

Pros :
* Amazing location in Atrani (~200m from Amalfi), just right above the sea, but without the sound of the traffic because the main road is in a tunnel
**Atrani is actually nicer / more quiet than Amalfi
* Great terrace just right above the sea
* Great room (large, nice, well furnished, new)
* Great reception from Pio. Really, really nice guy
* Very good breakfast
* Air conditionning if you need it

Cons :
* The bed is ok, but potentially improvable (during our 10 days-trip in Italy (5 hotels), we only had bad beds. This one was the best, but not like your bed at home).

When we arrived at Eva Rooms, in March, it was raining. We were afraid the weather would dampen our experience. However, Pio warmly greeted us & offered us some local espresso & blood orange juice. Pio was such a wonderful host, offering assistance however he could. Breakfast arrived promptly at our room each morning, and despite the forecast, we had sun & a breathtaking view to start each day! We absolutely loved Atrani. We could walk to Amalfi each day for shopping & food, but we loved the quiet, local atmosphere of Atrani. We had some of our favorite meals there. We highly recommend Eva Rooms to anyone wanting a beautiful, relaxing, authentic experience on the Amalfi Coast. Pio is awesome!!!

We have no regrets on the choice we made. The view is out of this world. Very clean and comortable rooms. Pio is the best host we have seen. He is always available and very friendly. He gave us advise on good things we can do on near by areas and his recommendations were excellent. Excellent and affordable prices too, breakfast was served at room every morning so you feel like home. We can't wait to stay again at Eva Rooms. Excellent choice.

This was our last stop for our honeymoon in Italy and we wish we could have spent more time here. Pio was lovely and extremely helpful. Parking is very limited in Atrani and when we arrived he even helped us park our car! The croissants for breakfast were the best pastries we had eaten on our trip and the view is just spectacular. The rooms were spacious with a nice, updated bathroom. We were walking distance between Atrani and Amalfi so there was always something to do. We can't wait to return!

This is a lovely B&B. The view is simply spectacular. It doesnt matter which room, the four rooms are in line in the very oceanfront. We simply loved Atrani and everything in this place. Pio is the owner and he is awesome, very welcome and attentive. He made from our stay a memorable moment. He picked up our luggage to the room, arrange us the wi fi service, and gave us a tour of the B&B. He also give us tips of places to visit during our stay, like Ravello (a must go) and called a friend who owns the best restaurant in Atrani square to wait for us for dinner. The breakfast trolley is simple and italian but lovely. This is your best option in Atrani...quiet, beautiful, an ITALIAN dream!!!

Room Tip: Every room are oceanfront located!

Not to steal the thunder of a past reviewer, but he kinda sums up the unbelievable view from this lovely B & B. Although we only spent 4 days, and most of them were cloudy, and drizzly because it was early Nov…the one glorious sunny morning made the whole week all worth it. We actually ate the lovely trolley breakfast outdoors on the semi private patio on 2 other dreary days, after mopping rain from chairs and table…just to not pass the opportunity to see and revel in the View. Tasty breakfast, and loved the 4 cup pot of coffee that is our custom, and not the small expresso amounts, thanks Pio. They have done their research well, and know how to best cater to their diverse guests.

We had had the 'yellow' room with the bonus seaview bathroom...kinda makes you gasp, walking into each room and seeing that amazing view. This 4 piece bath has a shower only, and bidet. The comfort of the bed was acceptable, except for the flat king pillows. If anything needs to be upgraded, it may be the pillows, but we adapted the extra duvet comforters as large loungers under our pillow for when we were reading during our rainy downtime, or playing with our I-phones. There was a mini fridge in our room that was great for chilling wines, and saving left-over pizza, bring ziptop baggies.

The wireless Wifi was a godsent. We had to change our return home because of the New York, and JFK airport closures. We finally bought a Luthansa tix from Rome to Germany, where we ultimately departed thru FRAnkfurt. We used the wifi with our IPhones for all the necessary research and purchasing tickets, and also keeping in touch with home with updating news. Actually, this was the best wifi we found on our whole trip, thru several countries...it's baffling how some wifi's are so inferior, thanks again Pio.

One of the most convenient aspects of Atrani, is being so close to Amalfi. And with the shortcut of walking thru the roadway tunnel (or if you rather not, you can take the seawall walkway, up thru a restaurants outdoor patio), and come to the Lunarossa Parking Garage, where there is a pedestrian tunnel a short way thru the mountain to Amalfi. At the Amalfi-end of the tunnel you can take the left turn to the sea and/or the bus tranfer area near the pier, or take the semi-right turn up to the Duomo. So far, yet so near, we found ourselves going to Amalfi many times, for shopping, dining, and some buses (there is a Sita Bus stop in Atrani, but make sure where it goes before getting on).

Atrani/Amalfi are about one hour bus ride from either Sorrento or Salerno. There is no excaping this area, without the exciting bus ride either way. (Unless the boat service is available, but we arrived after season. There was a short excursion boat ride in Amalfi for 10E.) We salute those talented busdrivers for their skill and bravado. On our one pretty half-day, we took the bus from Amalfi to Revello, with a beautiful stroll thru Villa Rufolo Gardens, and lunch at the Villa Amore Ristorante. At first we thought the restaurant name was a little kitsch, but you Do fall in Love with the amazing view and the lovely experience. We had an 'Italian Moment' for about a hour and a half, and that was verrry nice.

We did train to Pompeii, from Vietri sul Mare, (20 minutes west of Salerno) insteading of departing Salerno, only to return thru this way to get to Pompeii. These trains from Salerno only stop at the Pompeii FS station, which is in the centre of town and closer to the Porta di Nocera entrance. The Circumvesuviana train stop is near the western entrance (Scavi Villa Misteri) . All is very doable with a understanding of the rail lines , schedules and a study of several good maps.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Evas Rooms, and having a seaside room evokes all that the Amalf Coast beauty promises.

Room Tip: Room with the seaview bath, is a extra bonus.

When you travel you expect for marketing and some embellishments to make what you experience less than the perfect you might see on a postcard or on the internet. That is NOT the case with Eva rooms. It was everything you could hope for. Location was great the views spectacular and the hospitality 2nd to none.

We had a long day of travel arrived late and the inn keeper called a restaurant to make sure they stayed open so we could get a great meal.

Room Tip: Can't go wrong with a view of the sea
