“Authentic local cuisine”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 9, 2012

This is a family-owned and operated restaurant since 1920, in the heart of Salerno's famous ceramics district. The ambiance and cuisine are truly authentic. The outdoor dining area has a beautiful hanging wisteria growing overhead, and the floors, walls and brick oven are all made of the local pottery tiles. The food is made from the freshest ingredients, and the pizzas are done in the southern Italy style, which is thin crust. Some of the ingredients they used: fresh mozzarella (4 kinds), pancetta, zucchini flowers, fresh basil, garlic, fresh tomatoes, sautéed escarole, olives, etc. Excellent food for reasonable prices, and friendly owners and staff...definitely a must-visit!

“Authentic experience!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 14, 2012

What a pleasant surprise, finding such a charming, unassuming trattoria in a small Amalfi town, off the usual tourist trail. The owner was most accomodating, despite our minimal Italian language skills. Pizzas included less common varieties, the Anglianico wine was delicious, and the simple torte was simply delicious. An authentic Italian meal in a homey environment.

“Great pasta”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 14, 2012

It was very strange that only 2 tables were occupied on a Thursday night, but although the owner spoke no English, we had a really good dinner. The pasta carbonara and pasta con vongole were excellent as were the fritelle and mixed antipasta platter.

“Perfect dining experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2011

This was a pleasant surprise. The food was great, I recommend you try their pizza which is incredibly light and tasty and stone baked in a wood-fired oven. It is a family-run restaurant and everything has a home-cooked taste.
The outdoor seating area is really nice and cosy, perfect for couples.
If you are ever in the area, pay a visit!!
