“The staff makes the place great”
Reviewed August 21, 2012

Me and my boyfriend spent a week in the hotel, we had a really good time. We both have busy and stressful jobs, working long hours so we were looking for a place that gives peace and quiet, not to expensive but good value for money. We arrived late night about 12:30. The receptionist was friendly and welcoming, took us to our room then offered us a drink if we wanted....
Staff was very friendly and helpful. 5star service.....especially Mellisa(she always kept us and eveyone else company), Anna(she offered me to make me pankackes on my last day, lol, it was sweet of her)and the red head receptionist....
Food was good, especially breakfasts, my boyfriend is a fussy eater, but he always found something to eat. Lunch and dinner was good, however they it could be improved by more variety of food..
Rooms were always nice and clean....
Pool area and garden was kept nice and tidy...
There is not much around the hotel, so it's for ppl who like peace and quiet. The centre is about 15min walk away, however there is a moped, quad bike hire place opposite the hotel and you can make a deal with the ppl to hire them for a week for a good price if you wanted.
Locals are very friendly, and if you like seafood, there is a really good seafood restaurant on the beach,it's expensive tho.
Xxx

First off, before heading off I read a lot of bad reviews and was very wary,
1.The hotel itself is very nice,it is about 10 minute walk to the beach, the rooms are ok though this isnt much to
It and you had to pay for a safe which was annoying!the rooms are clean and sheets and towels are changed daily.
The pool is nice and there are loads of sun loungers.
The staff are very helpful and always try to make your stay better, apart from the barmaid who works at night who is so rude and has no people skills!
As this is an all inclusive hotel you would expect a better choice of drinks available but the choices are poor plus you have to
Pay for bottled water-1 euro!!!
The food is another level,it is beyond disgusting and I would not feed it to my dog, this is no exaggeration!!!bring money without you so u can eat out.overall I would go back but only cause it was cheap, not the best hotel I've been to but not the worst!!!

We have just returned from our stay at this hotel , This hotel is a fantastic run hotel and olympic holidays were brilliant. The rooms were cleaned daily by a very good cleaning team and were very modern and loads of space the bathroom even had a jacuzi bath installed. The food in the hotel as with all hotels has its ups and downs its hard to please everyone at meal times. Pool area was brill with plenty of sun loungers. I would of rated this hotel with 5 stars however Melissa from the pool bar ruined our holiday, she was rude to us had no manners and refused us drinks just to cause us problems, I reported this behaviour after our first week with a hope that the manager could sort this out but it still carried on till the end of the holiday. We soon realised that the people Melissa favoured was the people that tipped her. Flora if you are reading this Melissa is a bad apple in your cart and lets down all the hard work you and your staff put in at the hotel.

A very pleasant week but the Anavadia are clearly running the all inclusive deal on a tight budget. The food was mediochre; watch out for breakfast being re-cycled into lunch, weird salad options and dessert cakes made from breakfast tinned fruit. Welcome enhancements would be: free wifi, free use of the in room safe (currently a €20 charge), water upon arrival, access to fruit throughout the day (breakfast, lunch and dinner are served during strict opening times - feels a bit institutionalised), kettle in the room, correctly functioning shower, more drinks variety, cold lager, chilled glasses. Having said ths the Greek staff were lovely and the complex was clean, compact and friendy. Be aware that the hotel is approx a mile back from the beach and the small resort.

We have just returned from Anavadia and had the most amazing week - have to say this is the best 'package' hotel we have stayed in. We stayed in a 'family room' with our teenage daughter and the fact she had her own room and space was fantastic for her and us - the rooms were spotlessly clean and we had a garden view with patio furniture.
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left all the staff have been incredibly helpful and caring.
The food was very good with plenty of choice and something to suit everyone.
The swimming pool and surrounding area spotlessly clean with good quality sun loungers.
Added bonus of this being a small hotel and everyone getting to know one another - far better than a big hotel where you are just a number - all the staff know you and genuinely want to know about your day and how they can help.
Would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel - only wish there was one like this in every resort and can't wait to visit again!

We booked this as an opportunity to get away together and enjoy some sunshine. Upon arriving we found that the Anavadia was very clean, welcoming and friendly and this remained throughout. The food was always varied with a good choice of hot meals, salads and deserts and you could drink the "house" wine or bring drinks in from the bar. The service from the waiters clearing your plates was excellent. The swimming pool and bar area were really spacious and we were impressed at always being able to get a lounger and parasol by the pool when we wanted to. Plenty of drinks were on offer, local spirits were good and we enjoyed the cocktails. I'd perhaps have liked a few more cocktail options but this wasnt too important. The room was excellent with a jacuzzi bath, nice sized bedroom and great views of Tsambika mountain from the balcony. The cleaners were great and each day we came back to it being spotless. The nearest sandy beach is about 20 mins walk and is a nice, quiet cove. We chose to use that rather than the other which was a little further and slightly busier. One real positive is that the hotel has a bus stop right outside so we took a bus to Tsambika beach which was only half an hour and absolutely fantastic, as well as visiting Rhodes old Town and Lindos. Much cheaper and easier than an official tour. All in all, we were amazed at the deal we got on this holiday and would definitely return. We'd probably hire a car next time to see more of the island.
