“GREAT HOTEL”
Reviewed January 22, 2013

booked our holiday through easy jet ,we had booked to stay at the blue bay deluxe so our three children could use there free small water park, but easy jet contacted us ONE week b 4 we were due to travel and informed us that the blue bay had closed for the season and offered us to stay at the blue bay sister hotel on other side of the island ,we told easy jet that we wanted to stay in lalyssos and could they help us ,i must say easy jet were BRILL ,TONI at easy jet did everything possible for us and offered us the ELECTRA palace ,the cost was over £300 pound more but easy jet would pay the difference, we found the electra palace to be a great hotel ,very clean and by rhodes standard i would say this hotel is 4 star plus ,had a room over looking the sea great views of turkey on a clear day ,food was very good ,staff very friendly ,hotel also has 2 other resteraunts that can be used ,at the entrance to the hotel there is also a bar that has all sports on daily just ask and they will help although this bar has nothing to do with the electra palace ,but if you want to watch football this is a great bar, the hotel is right on the beach walk out the back of hotel through the garden and there you are ,also if you come out the back of the hotel there is a small car park if you walk across the car park into the only road you can see ,then within 5 mins you will see bars, shops and resteraunts ,we booked a hire car from rhodes airport through economy car hire on line, we booked through them as they offered pick up car half full and return half full ,so we did not get ripped off for high fuel charges picked car up right outside airport and dropped off right outside airport, getting round the island in a car was no problem ,we took a day trip over to turkey from the port at rhodes old town, cost about £100 pound 2 adults 3 children well worth the visit as we bought quite alot of turkeys famous genuine fake goods saved us a packet on xmas presents ,richmond superkings £12 at the departure lounge at turkey port ,Rhodes old town was also fairly good for shopping fake rolex £10 (just ask for one in any watch shop) we parked at the port and walked in to rhodes old town, weather was not great in october rained for 4 days also alot of rhodes seems to shut down in late october ,would not travel there again at this time of year ,but overall a very good holiday and again many thanks tp TONI at easy jet your a STAR

A modern hotel, open light and spacious. I stayed here by being transferred through last minute dot com. I went with my son for a weeks rest. It was all inclusive. I didn't take full advantage of the complimentary drinks buy my son enjoyed the food all day long, Cakes, ice cream etc. They have a beautiful bar that looks out across the med. You can walk straight onto the beach to the sunbeds. There is a great little taverna across the road if you fancy stretching your legs. The rooms are well maintained and modern. The foods is buffet style and have different theme evenings. We mainly had traditional greek salads with meat in the day. You can have an English breakfast in the mornings but we never made it on time. Nice pools and plenty of room on the resort. The have entertainment for the children in the afternoons.

Room Tip: We had a side room, but this was an upgrade from the other hotel. It is so near the beach it made no...

A nice and modern hotel that caters for many many all inclusives. We went in oct and unfortunately it rained for a few days - unfortunately this hotel doesn't have much to do if its not sunny so I wouldn't recommend at this time of year. Food was ok - standard thoroughfare all inclusive buffet, with an Italian (very few options) and Chinese which was almost fully booked when we arrived. All drinks included. Small details likes only one staff on the bar meant things weren't as efficient as possible. Would not want to be here when it's summer and at full capacity!

We have just returned from Electra Palace (24-31 October 2012) and even though it was very late season for Rhodes, we had a fabulous time! The staff were all extremely friendly, the food fantastic. They couldn't do enough for us. Right through the hotel from reception, room attendants, restaurant staff, bar staff, all went out of their way to be helpful, polite and great with the kids. We only had a couple of days with the animation team as they were all due to fly home but the hotel put on films on a projector and all sorts to keep us occupied! We still found shops and restaurants open nearby and took a taxi a few times into Rhodes town. Very close by is a bar/restaurant called Patty's which was lovely. Great food and very friendly. Would not hesitate to return, possibly in June! We love Rhodes and this hotel is the perfect base for a fun filled holiday.

Room Tip: This hotel has top floor executive suites but children are not encouraged in these rooms. We had sta...

Just arrived from Rhodes after staying at the Electra Palace, It was brilliant!! There is nothing to complain about whatsoever, do NOT listen to the rubbish posted on here! It's a great hotel for both couples and families with beautiful sites from any room in the hotel! The staff are both friendly and helpful I can't stress that enough! We were given an extra 9 hours in our room as were on a late flight home for free!! They are so generous, we received many of our alcoholic drink that were not on the all inclusive list for free as they really are carefree and easy going people! The place itself around the hotel Trianda/Lylassos was spectacular, every local was warm welcoming, the local transport bu to the main town Rhodes was good price around 2Euro each. The weather was epic, we did have a thunder storm because of the heat reaching 32Degree one day but it doesn't ruin anything whatsoever, it was such a site!
We travelled through Thomas cook and they were brilliant also!! (Thanks to Rosie!!)
We travelled most of the island but there is a huge amount of different places you have to go many time to see it ALL! we went to old rhodes town/new town (BEAUTIFUL, lovely harbour and small shops selling everything imaginable!)

The hotel room was clean and the cleaning staff were trustworthy and happy to wait if you needed more time in the morning, the food... oh gosh the food was crazy! You could have pretty much any type of food you wanted from local fresh caught fish .. to a little Italian or Chinese or if you're not very adventurous the traditional British food! The beach we had was great, lots of sunbeds available around the beach and pool area, 3 big bars to chose from around the hotel. We only used the hotel pool once as we literally couldn't get away from snorkelling in the sea (which by the way is warm and so so clear it's ace!!) VERY much worth doing! The entertainment at the hotel was aimed for kids, but we didn't mind we were too busy doing our own touring for the entertainment, many late night films on in all languages!!

We stayed in a room for 2 facing the Ocean! which was breathtaking if you're facing the pool you must swap, however even then the view over the small town is wonderful too! We had the opportunity to visit the small island of Symi! This place was magical, postcard Greece you don't want to leave, infact my partner and I are already planning our next trip for Rhodes and would happily have our planned family their. A beautiful and relaxing place!

Note: If you are allergic to Cats/Dogs maybe not the place for you. A few stray that walk around outside hotel (They are not dirty, nor unfriendly and they don't pester you whatsoever) In Greece they don't really have ownership of their animals, they come and go as they please which is lovely to see!!
If you leave your room door open mini mosqitoes may come in and they get annoying in the night but they are not huge ones and they don't pester you in the day, so don't leave door open in the night and as little in the day, use air con.. if you're all inclusive IT'S FREE!!
Also if you ever come across the sponges, GET THEM.. they are great good for skin conditions and spots very natural and the soap as well from the little shops.. great!!

Can't go on forever, but a great place for ALL ages, Genders and Culture. Just breathtaking!!

Just returnd from a lovely break at this hotel. We had a great room in the hotel annex, very friendly and helpful staff. Food was very good quality but a little repetitive , but always something nice to choose from.plenty of sun beds and brollys available, only complaint was rather loud music most of the day around pool from the animation team, but at the beach side was lovely andpeacfull.we also took a local bus in to Rhodes town and were very impressed and will definitely come back.

Room Tip: Room no 497 was great as we had pool and sea view

Returned from a weeks stay on the 26th Sept. The hotel was was very good rooms very clean, had a room over looking the pool. The food was good, but dont ask for a pack lunch dry sandwich very hard apple,& tub of shredded cabage & carrots no drink we ended up putting them in the bin. As this was a 4* hotel we expected better entertainment it was just like being in a holiday camp back in the sixties & the entertainment staff were very selective in who they spoke to if you were under 30 you were ok . But it was a different story with the hotel staff and bar staff they were very friendly and helpfull.
