The Anastasia nestles in its tidy garden (with tortoises), an oasis of calm set back from the road, yet within easy walking distance to the Old Town and the Harbour. It is also located amidst a wide choice of good restaurants, most less than 3/4 mins walk away. Mihalis and Stefanie have nurtured their property and our first floor room was spacious and stylishly decorated. Breakfast in the garden was generous and the yoghurt with honey and almonds a treat, often with Mihalis in attendance to provide soulful and humorous comment, should you be so bold as yo mention the weather or Greek taxes. If we go back to Rhodes Town we shall certainly seek out this characterful small hotel. Michael and Andreana

We stayed at the Anastasia for a week just before Easter and got a great out of season price. We hired a car in advance and collected it at the airport ( Galaxy-also highly recommend) Initially we found it tricky finding the hotel in the dark but got there in the end! The room upstairs was spotlessly clean, spacious, lovely high ceilings and beautiful original tiled floor. Yes the bathroom was tiny but interesting ;) There was a fridge in the room and the beds were firm but quite comfortable. I loved some of the original 1930's features of the building and the shutters on the bi-fold windows.
Mihalis and Stefania are such lovely attentive hosts. Breakfast was superb and we loved Stefania's home baking. All the guests we met were very sociable and warm characters and we felt really relaxed staying here.
I felt very honoured to have the first ripe bananas of 2014 (thank you again Mihali and Stefani)
Mihalis is a genuinely lovely guy - very knowledgable and would give advice and recommendations on places to visit and restaurants. We also loved his wicked sense of humour. If you are like us and dislike large chain hotels this is the place for you :)

It was a fantastic stay with great owners, Mihali and Stefania. The hotel was welcoming and clean. It is located in the center of town and walking distance to everything. I recommend visiting the turtles and enjoy the breakfast in the garden. Excellent stay..will stay again!

Not only are there turtles....they have a warm and fuzzy pussy cat named Mihalis, whose growl is bigger than his Landrover!
All in all, Stefania and Mihalis made us feel most welcome and gifted us with valuable advice on touring and restaurants. Breakfast was fabulous, location for walking to the Old Town, shopping and beach. Bathrooom a wee bit tight but sufficient . Thank you Stefania and Mihalis!

Lovely people and a nice place to stay. Nice to have a fridge in the room and just needs a hot water jug and cups to allow you to make tea or coffee. Stefania and Mihalis look after you with care and great advice. A lovely place to stay, great location and nice breakfast. Mihalis even got up at 4.45am to provide us with an umbrella to walk to the taxi and Stefania sent us off with a breakfast pack to eat at the airport.

Room Tip: Be sure to try Rodofaglia Restaurant around the corner.
