We were there for 3 nights which was fine, but I would not advise anybody to spend more time there. The rooms are old, but clean, and are noisy. There is a lot of noise from the corridors because there is no carpet, but it's better when the second door is closed. We had two single bed in the room and was told that only 10 rooms had large beds. This is pretty bad since each bed had it's own box, leaving a big gap when put together. We did not use a lot of the facilities, though the seamed fine.

The biggest drawback was the food. Our meals were included, but it was only buffets and they were bad. First I should say that the restaurant's opening hours are rediculous. 7 to 9, morning and evening. The breakfast was pretty ordinary with little choices and no fresh fruits. We often had to wait for our table to be set up if we came in half an hour before the restaurant closes because they remove everything on the table instead of resetting it for the next ones. When we tried to go for diner, we looked at the buffet with again not many choices and the empty pans, and just walked away. Truly, this is a 2.5 star restaurant.

The beach, I would'nt call a beach since it is only rocks; no sand.

Bottom line, it's an ok hotel with a nice view where you can spend a few days if you're just sleeping there, but I would not recommend it to anybody spending a week or more at the same place. I'm pretty sure this hotel will be downgraded to 3 stars in a few years.

Forgot bad comments, if you want to go to vocation or to do some job, hotel is quite right. I was a guest as symposium participant, for some one week. First, and most important – clean (everyday proper cleaning of rooms, changed towels, etc.), food are good and diverse enough that everyone could found what she or he wants for every meal. Majority of rooms have view on the sea and the swimming pool, sea is very close and connection with the old town very (bus stop in front of hotel), air-conditioning in rooms work very well. There is a bit taste of hotels that I as a kid, with family, visit at the Adriatic cost many years ago. Indeed this is not a 4 star hotel, but make you stay more than comfortable. The most important staff is great. In every point you can find at least one person that do much more than one normally expect to have comfortable and almost familiar stay. Thanks to Mathias in restaurant and especially thanks to Mika at reception for all advices and care ;-) Branko

Stayed for a week, quite ok. Be sure that is not 4* but really nice place!

the staff are friendly, helpful, especially if you check it at night. Food was ok but breakfasts all the same all week. Evening means were much better.

The beach and especially a man who takes care of it was good! not excellent but good.
Rooms cleaned every day, towels changed. no problems.

I LOVED that is was quiet and calm.
I would recommend to visit it for those who do not expect chic service and chic rooms. There are lots of things to do on the island and at Rhodes town, so the hotel is not that important!

We booked The BelAir as reccomended by our Travel Agent....we flew out on Wed 15th Sept for 7Nights.....Checked in at 1.00am by a Helpfuland Nice Gentleman....we asked him about keeping our room till 6pm for the following wed...and was told i cant do that..speak to the Woman in Charge in the afternoon....
so we went to bed....got up for Breakfast the following Morning {which was Nice}had fruit.and yoghurt as English Breakfast was Swimming in Oil {yuck}.

The Pool area lovely, and enough benches to go around.....Bar and Seating area also wonderful...{Only 1 Nights entertainment}....Reception Area also Lovely...But we found The Female Receptionist Extremely Rude and unhelpful....
The Evening meal was absolutly Terrible...we were booked for H/B...but ended up eating out every Night as lack of Choice.....and all contained Nuts...{found out from a couple}..food dry..not enough choice......my Husband is a Vegatarian and NO Choice for him what so ever.....
He asked for an Omelaete and had his Head Bitten off...with No.....Pool Bar for food Vile either Uncooked food and swimming in oil...

Beach...like a Quarry.....to get to sea...we were told Hotel had own private underpass..{NOT ONE}..if you need to cross road you have to go 200yards down road to another hotel...and use thers for beach access....if yr an oap or family with kids you have no chance crossing the road....
And People who dont smoke be warned.....smoke seeps out from bedrooms into corridors...or comes in to room via air conditioning....My asthma has never been so bad...

The hotel was clean and the staff were very helpful. Our room was in mint condition and the linen was changed every day.
The poolbar staff were brilliant and could not do enough for me and my wife.
The dining room was clean and the food was good as opposed to excellent. All in all I would rate the Belair 8 out of 10
