My wife and I were visiting Rhodes in the off season and there were very few restaurants that were open. One day we found this one for an early dinner. It had great décor and we loved the cats outside (we're cat people).

The owner (or manager) offered to cook us a special meal not on the menu. We were foolish enough not to ask the price. I don't know if they were trying to make up for the slow season or what but we ended up paying over 150 euros without the tip for the two of us. To say that this was the most expensive meal we had in Greece is a huge understatement. They saw us coming and really fleeced us. We pay that much for extremely fine dining at home (which this was not) and compared to what we paid everywhere else in Greece (including actual fine dining establishments) the price we were charged was way out of line. 40 Euros for both of us was much more common at this level of establishment.

The food was actually pretty good and the waiter looked pretty embarrassed about what we were being charged. If you ever go to this restaurant make sure you know what they are planning on charging you before you order. Otherwise you may find yourself paying some rather "special" pricing.

In a nice location and found staff very friendly. We both had steaks, which were cooked really nicely. No complaints about the place at all.

22/10/12 This place looked wonderful, we ordered shrimp advacado cocktail starter and some sort of Mushroom stuffed with seafood and 2 fillet steaks. The advacado was harder than Mike Tyson and the stuffed mushroom would not even be touched by the stray cats that roam the place begging at the tables. When we placed the order for 2 fillet steaks we were not even asked how we wanted them (which I thought strange) I explained that we would like 2 med rare fillets without bernaise sauce(or any other sauce) they served 2 small bits of overcooked BOOT Leather smothered in mushroom sauce to disguise the fact they WERE NOT FILLET STEAKS. We sent the whole lot back including starters and were charged 42 Euro for 2 beers and 2 ouzos. They apologised saying it was end of season and it was all they had. They were trying to charge over 20 euro each for the shoe leather they thought were steaks. the terrible starters were 10 euro each and the steaks over 20 Euro each. AVOID THIS DUMP, they will RIP YOU OFF. Did not stay long enough for photos but decor is very nice.

This lovely restaurant is located in the corner of this square where there is a memorial to soldiers killed in the war, and also lots of parrots perching ready for photo opportunities.
Inside must be seen as it is very old and has a gallery overlooking the lower floor. It's very relaxing to sit and look out over the square. Service was excellent and the food very good, with a tasting menu for Greek specialities.
