First, I want to tell you about the Marco Polo restaurant in the hotel's courtyard. If you're visiting Old Town, you must try it. You would never expect it, but the food was absolutely delightful. It was the best meal I had in Greece. I'm vegetarian, so they brought me a tapas-like medley of creative and fresh dishes. The food is more eclectic, not traditional Greek. It is such a charming restaurant and very romantic in the evenings. The owner of the hotel (who was also our server) may take a little while to warm up, but trust me, he has got class and intelligence.
The hotel rooms are good enough. Sure, they're a little outdated, but I think you're paying for location and rustic-ness of the place. The building is over 600 years old, which, in itself, is pretty cool.More
