“Inside the town a very good hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 26, 2012

Leaving in the town you can enjoy your holidays. Nice big rooms with a sea view( Not all the rooms have) nice big beds, clean ,and helpfully personnel . You can walk across the road to a nice but sometimes busy beach with clean and calm waters. In the evening you walk to the town and the old city which is 15 minutes away. Excellent choice especially during the winter.

Room Tip: Sea view especially on winter which is quiet.

Very nice hotel. Very comfortable location. Staff is a little bit older but they are very helpful.
Breakfast is very good. Sea view is fantastic and you can swim just over the road. Wi Fi is free and very good all over hotel

Room Tip: Ask for sea view room

As I organize a biannual event in Rhodes Island, I’ve chosen to cooperate with the Mediterranean hotel for the accommodation of the participants coming from all over the world.

Every time, the professionalism, courtesy and willingness to help of the hotel staff, create a very warm and friendly atmosphere for all the participants.
The hotel's ideal location downtown and near the beach with easy access to the shopping center and the Old Town represents the best possible solution as it gives an added value to the whole event experience for the participants.

Room Tip: The sea view rooms give the impression of floating on the sea!

We went to Rhodes and stayed in this hotel with an agency tour. I had my issues and problems I took up with them but in the end they were helpful. A bit stressed and reactive when there is a hectic crowded chek in situation but acceptable. The location is really good close to old town. And the walking route to the old town is a nice area of the new town with cafes and restaurants. Also close to the Marina. The beach is right in front of you. The most I liked about the hotel was the food in fact. We stayed half board so including dinner which was really nice. So I recommend.

I agree with some of the reviews which say this is not a hotel for families. The pool is small and not really for swimming in although the birds of the feathers variety seemed to be enjoying themselves in it. You certainly couldn't lie around on a sunbed around it. However the beach is just 100m across from the hotel although at the beginning of November when we were there the sunbeds where fastened away for the winter. We did spend our last day on the beach as the weather was lovely and had a good morning in the sea although it was painful on your feet to get in and out. Back to the hotel. Our room was big and overlooked the sea so we had a stunning view. We booked B&B and when I looked for the fridge all I found was a minibar, stocked full of miniture bottles of all sorts of wine and spirits, cans of pop and a couple of bottles of water. I opened one of the dressing table drawers and it had pringles, bread sticks and snack. There was a card which informed us that if we took anything out of the minibar it would be charged to our room and also we weren't allowed to use the small fridge to put own things in. This is where is it a business or holiday hotel came into mind. We may have been tempted to take a nightcap when we came back at night but there was no price list to be seen so sense prevailed. On our first night we chose to eat in the restaurant as we were tired. For 24E we had a choice of soup or salad, and fish or a veg option. Both were very poor. For desert we chose icecream as the fruit of the day was an apple in a bowl. It is without doubt the worst and most expensive meal of our holiday. Don't eat in the hotel except for breakfast which is in with the price. Breakfast was good, but there again you can't really go too wrong with this. Hotel staff were friendly so I don't agree with some of the other comments and the room was decorated lovely and the only thing that was dated was the hairdryer which burnt your hands when you had it going for a few minutes. You aren't allowed to use your own electrical items under Greek law apparently, so my straighteners fizzed when I tried to use them. Bad hair for our stay unfortunately. Having said all of this, we would stay again if we were passing but I would rather be staying on the cruise ships which passed our hotel room a few times on our stay. I nearly forgot the most important thing if you do have your children with you. Do not under any circumstances let them have the TV remote control. As you flick through the channels there are 3 or 4 which come up with total porn! It's a real shock although we did check it a few times to make sure we say what we did. lol.

Room Tip: Ask for a seaview room.

this hotel is certainly not worth of the price they ask for the rooms and other amenities. It's in desperate need of a decent renovation. on top of this, how rude can the staff be??? Really... probably the worst I've ever met...To be fair, the location is pretty good. But that's the only good thing I can say about the establishment

I stayed in this hotel with my sister for a weeks holiday bed and breakfast. It was clean and well equipped, I wouldnt say the rooms are ultra modern but they are not that dated that I would feel uncomfortable and I can be picky!. The beach was just opposite and there are loads of shops bars and restaurants nearby. I didnt see many English in the hotel and I wouldnt say this is a family hotel it is more suited to adults, couples, friends and business.
As two women travelling we felt safe although we didnt get to speak to many other guests. The staff were friendly and polite. Great location to get around in Rhodes Town!
