“Cardboard pizza but relaxing setting”

After a few hours of wandering around the old town we decided it was time for a snack, so we came across this restaurant which was in its own little tranquil garden area, complete with water features and looked lovely. We sat down and ordered drinks while we looked at the menu. The only thing we really fancied was their 'special' pizza so we ordered one to share between us. When it arrived it didn't look at all what we had expected, and plus the fact that even though waiter knew we were going to share it, it was still smaller than a normal pizza would be for one person. The base was very thin and dry like cardboard, which you literally had to saw through, and the topping was very sparce with about 2 peices of salami one little thinly cut circle of green pepper and very little chesse so there was absolutely nothing 'special' about it all all. Overall it was extremely disappointing, and I hasten to add we certainly didn't go there again.

This peaceful garden in the middle of the medieval town is a place we went to every single day to rest, relax , get out of the hot sun and enjoy a cold drink in the shade of beautiful trees while listening to the water from the fountains! Don't expect fancy cocktails here. This is a café which serves cold drinks ( cappuccino freddo or frappé, cold drinks, coffre, etc.) and Some light mezzes such as tzatziki. If you want something else, head to a restaurant. (I'm referring to other reviews which surprised me). It's a great place and a sight in its own right, which gives you a good idea of what the gardens still look like (present but out of sight) behind many of the buildings in the old city.

I went to the Socratous Garden this night, 23 August, with my boyfriend.
We took 2 cocktails, an Acapulco for me and a San Francisco for him.
His San Francisco tasted of soap, I'm not joking, it really tasted of a wahsing machine soap, and my Acapulco was so bitter that we left our cocktails there without drinking them anymore.
The cocktail's price is very cheap and maybe it's why they're awful.
Very nice garden

A very pretty and secluded al fresco cafe/bar/restaurant with beautiful gardens. Very friendly and helpful staff who cant do enough for you. Wide selection of cocktails and local cuisine. Great atmosphere, cannot fault the place. Will be going back when visiting Rhodes in 3 weeks :)

In the middle of the old town of Rhodes, is the quiet garden of "Socratous Garden" a nice place for a drink or a meal. Very friendly place, and the wine is excellent.
