I booked this hotel direct with the hotel via their website and I must admit it was good value for money being 40 euros a night. I requested a room with a balcony as I had read on another review site that their are a couple of rooms stuck away at the top of the hotel block with no balcony,s The hotel said they would note my request.

On arriving at the hotel I was offered a basement room no balcony and very shabby. I refused this room and was offered one of the fifth floor rooms again without balcony. This room was just under the roof and in the bathroom above the bath was a huge hole exposing pipes and things like wise where the Air/Con should have been there was again a huge hole in the wall.
I was a single traveler and asked the rather unhelpful lady on reception if this was why I had been given a poor quality room, she agreed it was and explained the other rooms had more people in them.Well all the rooms have a room with two single beds and a room with a sofa that can be converted to presumably sleep a couple of children or one adult. As all the room are the same regardless if there is a balcony or not so I cannot see it would matter whether one person was in a room with a balcony or more unless of course she was suggesting some of the people in the room were going to sleep on the balcony.

I was still dissatified and was told I could move 2 days later when the hotel was less full. On the night before I asked the same unhelpful receptionist when I would be able to change rooms she said 10.am. When I went to get the new key she then said no it would be 3.00 in the afternoon. I said I wasn not happy as I had packed al my things up and she then changed her mind and said 12.00.

The new room was the same size but had a fair size balcony but be aware some of the rooms with a balcony are not big enough to hold a chair and table.
The rooms are self catering to a point there is the usual 2 ring hob but a vast amount of utensils including a toaster, sandwich maker, moulinex mixer!!, coffee maker, blender. but the downside is if you are planning to use all this stuff you will find it difficult to keep all your ingredients cold as the fridge is only the size of a mini bar and like a mini bar has no freezing compartment and little storage space.
The rooms were kept very clean and the bathroom was a good size with hot water whenever required even on the day it was cold and rained all day.

The bed however must be one of the most uncomfortable I have ever slept in it is narrow and hard with pillows like rocks.

The hotel is in a central position about 15 minutes walk to the old town which was my main reason for booking this hotel. The old town is wonderful especially if you avoid the touristy squares and explore the back streets .It is especially atmospheric in the evening. There are lots of nice restaurants and cafes in these streets away from the crowds.
I will definately return to Rhodes but not to the Angela Apartments Maybe if you are not a single traveller they may be more obliging with the sort of room you want but if you are single BEWARE.

This hotel although small has spacious rooms and the maid service was excellent.. The lobby area serves free hot/cold drinks and cake in the morning.. Did find the pool rather cold - but the sea front is in walking distance as is the harbour. Parking is rather difficult if you hire a car.

We booked independently and spent one week at the Angela.
We requested a large balcony and were told they couldn't guarantee one (as the hotel was fully booked)but would do their best, and we were pleasantly suprised to find we had one overlooking the pool area, which was lovely. The rooms are spacious and well furnished, cleaned every day and towels changed, overall the general cleanliness was fine. The hotel itself was in a great position near all the tavernas, restaurants and beach and about 10mins stroll to the Harbour and market area, maximum 10 mins to the Old Town, noise was never a problem. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it, for 40Euros a night it was really good value. We didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that, the guys on reception desk were extremely pleasant and helpful and the pool was a great bonus for a cooling dip. The only downside was the air-conditioning had been switched off apparently because it was end of season, (as the hotel was fully booked this seemed illogical)

The hotel sports nice large rooms, and a good location away from the very touristy areas. However our room seemed unfinished and the hotel is located on a fairly loud road.

We stayed in the hotel for 6 days, and found the location to be really nice. The hotels pool was very nice for those who do not care for beaches, particularly those around Rhodes city which are pebbly and windy. Our room had a large balcony which had evening sun but was facing the loud street below - you could not sleep with an open door (but at least the A/C was functioning despite also being slightly noisy).

The hotel is located near the old city and various nice restaurants (Red, Boudoir and Kostas Taverna (in the old city - very very good fresh octopus)).

We spent a succesfull holidayweek in Angela Suites Rhodos.
First we booked flights via finnish travelagent and then we booked a hotel from the internet for the first time and naturally we were a bit scared of what is to come. All our fears (is it going to be a disapointment?) about the hotel were very wrong. The hotel was very nicelooking and the rooms were very spacious (for 3 persons) and clean.

All the equipments in the hotelroom (coffee/tea/sandwichmakers)
were very useful. TV was big enough and well placed (some hotels has 14 inch tv:s and are placed in the ceiling)!

As already mentioned in an earlier preview, hotel`s pool was not childfriendly, because it was about 1,5 meters deep allover.
We were having our holiday with our 4-year-old-boy and we managed well with him in the pool, because he had good `protective gears` while swimming.

Staff of the hotel was extremely wellcoming and especially Stergos deserves big big thank yous for his assistance in taking care of our problems/questions during the week:)

Location of the hotel was also very good and so all the sights, shops and restaurants were in a walking distance from the hotel.

If we`ll go back to Rhodos in the future, we will have an easy choice of our hotel > Angela Suites:)

We have just returned from a 2 week stay in the Angela Suites and were very happy with our choice of accommodation. Our room was clean and comfortable and we had requested one of the larger balconies overlooking the swimming pool (some side rooms have very small balconies).
The air con was a very welcome addition and maid service was on a daily basis.
The staff were polite and helpful and the location couldn't have been better.
The only disappointment was the pool. It's quite small and the same depth throughout (not very child friendly for families with young children) and also it has no shade for most of the afternoon making it far too hot to sit out (a few parasols would improve it) but all in all it was a very enjoyable experience and we would definately book the Angela Suites again if we return to Rhodes Town.

We've just returned from our Greek Island hopping experience that included a stay at the Angela Suites hotel. I made the booking based on Trip Advisor & again I was very pleased with the selection.

We were traveling with another couple & the staff had us booked across the hall from each other...this made it perfect for sharing our happy hours together.

The suites were spacious & clean & quiet even for such a bustling city. It was an easy walk to Old Town as well as to the beach.

Stergos @ the reception desk was an outstanding asset to the hotel. If we asked him for something he took care of it immediately. If we were looking for advice as to where to go he had the answers.

It is a friendly place with guests trading helpful information when meeting in the lobby. The lobby served as a meeting area where you could join in to the extent that you wished. The terrace in front of the hotel made a pleasant place to sit & visit too.

The downside is that the showers don't have curtains, not unusual in Greece, but it certainly made for a wet bathroom.

In the morning coffee & cake were available to anyone visiting the hotel not just those participating in the breakfast. There was also bar service available.

If you have need of one, there's a laudromat (they do the laundry for 5 E per load) very close by (Happy Wash).
