Reviewed October 13, 2013

This is an interesting place to visit especially on the free entry day, Cool inside and if there are not too many cruise boats in not crowded.

“What an outstanding experience!”
Reviewed October 11, 2013

This castle is just amazing... The biggest I've ever seen! Such a great monument standing till today, thanks to those people that take good care of it. What a great view of the old town and the harbour of Rhodes...! Many events take place during summer overthere, so it gets better and better!

“Absolute must see ! Marbles, Mosaics, Statues, Atmoshere !!”
Reviewed October 11, 2013

There is a serenity and peace in this grand and fabulous old castle. 6 euros entrance is well worth it , even if only to get away from the ubiquitous vendors haranguing all the tourists in the nearby streets. The Palace has an imposing facade of twin towers, and unique battlements in keeping with those around the walls of the old town. Marble floors, high carved wooden ceilings and ancient rows of carved wooden seats. You can just imagine the knights engaged in earnest conversations in these grand rooms and halls. The floors have some of the most amazing mosaics I have ever seen. Some of them are old Roman mosaics taken from the island of Kos, and the visit is worthwhile for these alone. Statues and carvings are majestic, and there is a superb museum where taking photos is not allowed, but many people do take them while the young attendants are not looking.
No visit to Rhodes is complete without a thorough exploration of the Old Town and central to that a visit to the palace of Grand Master of Knights. The history of the place is fascinating and enthralling . You will be all the richer for having been . Love it !
