Can you believe in a place like this? The location is amazing, inside Old Town. The owner is friendly and absolutely helpful. The breakfast completely unusual. You take the outside door keys with you. Cozy and charming.
My advice - as you cannot drive till the hotel door, do not take too large and too heavy luggage.

We stayed at spirit of the knights on our first night in rhodes and it was exceptional. After a month on Tilos we spent our last two nights at zacosta which is just as lovely and much more reasonably priced. John has an extremely good manner, friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable the room charming and the breakfast fresh and tasty.

We were here 9 days in June 2012, at the end of an exhausting cold winter in Eastern Europe. John was a marvelous host and we soon fell into the rhythm of long sunny days in the old city and venturing out to restaurants after the cruise ships left.

Wonderful suite, great bed, and bath stocked with Korres toiletries, a small luxury. John couldn't accommodate our entire 9 day request, and was kind enough to make it all work out by arranging one night up the street in another boutique hotel. It was a considerably more expensive hotel, but we weren't charged more.

As others have mentioned, ample breakfast on the patio (exemplar of what can be managed w/o full cooked breakfast) and wine in the early evening with other guests.

Terrific experience.

Room Tip: Upstairs suite is lively.

Easy access to historical places and old town roads.
Owner of Zacosta Mr.John is quite helpfull and gives advices in order to find places.
also you'll have your own key to go in/outside of the this pretty roman villa
if you rent a car, you can go all beaches and visit Lindos.

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights (september 2013). It is simply perfect! The location is central but quiet, the owner John is nice and helpful, the bed is super confortable. The is also a nice curtyard where we had a wonderful breakfast. Highly recommended!

We wanted to stay in the old city and couldn't have found a better place. John was extremely helpful and every suggestion he made (food, sights) turned out to be wonderful. Our room was beautiful, courtyard amazing, breakfast delicious! We were so relaxed in the courtyard and in our room. It was also within walking distance to everything we wanted to see or do - including restaurants, sights, and bars. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a getaway.

We stayed here for one night towards the end of September, and aside from the excellent location (right in the middle of the action) and the absolutely lovely rooms with a nice courtyard, the service provided by John (as echoed by many on tripadvisor) was absolutely exceptional. He made us feel like we were guests at his house and was extremely helpful and flexible with anything and everything. You could tell he really had a passion for making your stay in Rhodes as great as possible.

I would say that Zacosta Villa beats the Mandarin Orientals, Peninsulas and JW Mariotts of the world any day.

Thank you John, we could not have asked for more and will definitely be back!
