Description: Beautiful alfresco setting. Tucked away in a quiet square off the beaten track. Dine on fresh seafood and fresh vegetables (many of them organic) under a pergola overflowing with jasmine, honeysuckle, Bougainville and a 25 year old grapevine. The Tsikis Family is always happy to meet new guest and welcome back many return customers ( some that have been coming since the opening in 1989)!

We visited this restaurant after reading an excellent review in the Telegraph newspaper. It is a bit tricky to find and you have to run the gauntlet which are your typical tourist, primely located restaurants, who would literally pick you up and drag you in if they could - but persevere, you will not be disappointed.
We had the "cheese parcels" and "spicy cheese bake" to start with. A shrimp dish (recommended by the proprietor Theodore) and the "seared tuna with wasabi sauce, coated in sesame seeds". With fresh bread, a fresh salad and some good quality house wine it was just what we were looking for. It was so nice that we went back a second time and had the same again - with the addition of crab cakes.
The food speaks for itself and in particular the tuna dish wouldn't be out of place on the menu of a Michelin starred restaurant. All of this at a very reasonable price and with attentive, friendly but not overbearing service to boot. It really helped to make our trip a memorable experience.
The owner Theodore, is one half of this family owned gem of a restaurant. He was born, raised and now runs the establishment with his exceptionally talented American wife who cooks with culinary flare and confidence. Their welcome was warm, friendly and sincere - the kind you would receive at a friends home. His complimentary lemoncello is legendary!
Do not leave Rhodes without a visit!

We were so lucky to find here just by chance as we were wandering around. Then we have found out from our local hotel staff that it's really one of the best in Rhodes. The garden itself is enough to sit and have your wonderful meal. We had a dinner with traditional Greek salad and some starters and warm dishes like octopus, mussels etc. Every single thing was absolutely delicious. The staff (the waitress and the gentleman whom I think is the owner) is very friendly and helpful. I'd advice that you let them recommend what to eat there, you'll not regret. I'm really looking forward to having another dinner the next time I'm in Rhodes.

Do you like to meet warm people who treat you like a friend while you are travelling? Then Theodore at Nireas is your guy.

And of course, the food is spectacular. It is great because it is executed perfectly. Nothing too fancy, just the work of a great chef. Mussels were the best I've ever had anywhere.

We had a delightful meal at this charming, casual outdoor cafe. Nikolas speaks terrific English, which makes navigating his menu fun and easy, and his larger-than-life personality is rivaled only by the quality of his food and service. This restaurant is in the heart of old Rhodes, and the setting is idyllic--think an arbor covered in old-growth vines, tall olive trees, glowing candles, hanging white lights, wandering local cats and the walls of the medieval city rising in shadow all around you.

The shrimp saganaki was the absolute best shrimp dish I have ever eaten and I'll be thinking about it for a long time to come. Nikolas' wife (an American), makes most of their desserts and for dessert we had a chocolate cake that did not disappoint. The folks here understand that when one is traveling every dinner is an experience--and Nireas makes dining on Rhodes a special one. They gave us a delicious dinner, a fun experience, and a perfect place to end our Greek islands experience on a high note.
