Description: Beautiful alfresco setting. Tucked away in a quiet square off the beaten track. Dine on fresh seafood and fresh vegetables (many of them organic) under a pergola overflowing with jasmine, honeysuckle, Bougainville and a 25 year old grapevine. The Tsikis Family is always happy to meet new guest and welcome back many return customers ( some that have been coming since the opening in 1989)!

Great! Really fresh fish which you can see before it will be cooked. Kind waiter will call you to a kitchen to see and make a choice. We'd dinner almost with owner's family sitted and having dinner next table. And owner help us to take a right decision about out main dish - we's ordered red snapper and it was extremly delicious!

“Not easy to find but worth the effort”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 3, 2012

This is a bit off the busy streets and even then the last in a street of restaurants with little obvious signage such that you are unlikely to stumble over it. However we found seeking it out very worthwhile. The host was very welcoming without being pushy and his suggestions were very helpful especially compared to most you get elsewhere. We are not experts at buying fresh fish off the slab but they explained the options and types of flesh without trying to direct you. Service was good and the garden very pleasent. All very enjoyable. Where Nireas really excelled however was the seafood (if you don't want seafood you probably shouldn't go). We had crab cakes and prawns with feta, tomatoes, onions and capsicum as two excellent staters followed by a sea bream in oil and lemon which was properly filleted for us. The host recommended a house rose that was pleasent and cheap. Really enjoyable, reasonably priced and highly recommended.

“Favorite restautrant of the trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 27, 2012

During our trip to Rhodes, we had the opportunity to sample many excellent restaurants, but Nireas was our favorite. Mr. Tsikis greeted us warmly & made few menu suggestions. We ended up ordering a salad with Symi shrimp & avocado, a spicy cheese appetizer, marinated octupus & prawns. The prawns were cooked perfectly. The octopus was the best we had during the ( we usually ordered it in some form at every restaurtant we dined ). When we told Mr Tsikis how much we loved it, he introduced to his father, the man behind the dish! We enjoyed the evening so much, we returned the next night, adding the freshest tasting swordfish to our meal. We capped off the night with complimentary, home-made limoncello. Thank you to the entire staff for making us feel like part of the family. We may even get together with Mr. Tiskis during his trip to out home state of New Jersey! Do yourself a favor & dine here when visiting the Old Town

“Great fish and crab cakes!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 19, 2012 via mobile

Just ask them what to eat. Don't even bother looking at the menus. This time it was, for starters a salad with everything on it (nireas salad), following some crab cakes and grilled dorado as the main course. So exquisite! House wine is super too.
