Met up with friends and very nice greeting with complimentary glass of chilled white wine while we selected our choice for lunch. Enjoyed the "taster" so much that we ordered two bottles of same with meal. Nice setting in old town and even though the weather let us down, our hosts made sure we were sheltered from the odd shower. Lovely, fresh food and great service as owner and staff made it special. Would certainly recommend this restaurant as you will have delicious meal and fantastic hospitality.

There's an endless choice of Bars and restuarants to choose from and the mention in thw Marco Polo guide was our first night choice and what a good choice! It was my birthday so we went for a good blow out and with Iannis' support we made some great choices plus a few extras we didn't need to chose! It was a greta birthday meal with the service and treats provided not knowning it was a special night - a night to remember So much so that we went back for my partners birthday meal although wary about repeat performances we should not have worried. For our final meal in Rhodes we went again and Iannis produced a Chocolate mousse to die for and a Pannacotta too - or rather his wife had. These three meals were certainly the culinary highlight of our two week stay. If we get to Rhodes again there is no doubt we shall be going back again.

We were encouraged to visit this restaurant by our Hotelier (a relative,as I understand it) and we were not disappointed.
From the street it looks just like any other Rhodes restaurant, with pavement tables,a pleasant upstairs area in case of windy conditions, and the required wonderful views - in this case of the clock tower and minaret.
During a 12 day stay we ended up eating here on four occasions and ate well each time. There is a complimentary drink on arrival, and a free sweet at the end.Drinks are regularly priced (500cl caraffe of house red,8 euro) ,as is the food.
There is a wider variety of dishes than is normal, including crustacean specials (at 10 euro) as starters - I especially liked the sea urchin 'salad' - really a cold stew - and the warty venus (sic) as part of a sea food mixture made up of all the specials,at the waiters suggestion (no extra cost).
Greek traditional dishes were the best we had (loved the goat stew,15 euros),the fish was good, and well priced, the bulgar wheat filled dolmades (you get eight, warm, with yoghurt) were superb.8 super lamb chops (with loads of accompaniments) were 11 euros.
Best of all, however, was the service. Each of the staff, from the owner, through the greeter,to the waiters, were charm and efficiency personified, and this continued to the end of the meal.On one visit it went on after the meal;a disabled man had been left behind by his party and was looked after (and given a free beer to while away the time) until they returned.
On our wedding anniversary, our Hotelier phoned in advance and we got the best table reserved,a special celebratory sweet not on the menu, and a few othe gratis touches.
A place not to be missed.
