This is the 3rd time we have stayed at the Dias and have just returned after 4 weeks of being looked after, fantastic.
The Dias is a family owned and run hotel and they are the friendliest people you could wish for to look after you on holiday. Whatever you need, they will do their best to help you.
The rooms are clean and spacious.Towels and sheets changed every other day along with the cleaning of the room. The food available in the hotel is second to none, with a 24hr bar service operating. The pool area is very clean with plenty of seating and sunbeds to relax on. The location is perfect, about a 10 min stroll to the town centre for the beach, shops and nightlife.
All in all, we wouldn't stay anywhere else in Rhodes, Faliraki has the best beach and the local bus service runs quite regular, so you can get out and about if you don't want to drive.

We stayed at Dias Studios in September 2008, temperature was lovely 30 degrees and bright sunshine every day! Glad we avoided August though as it hit 40 degrees at times apparently!
Lovely pool, clean hotel and so safe - leave anything anywhere, leave your patio doors open, leave your luggage once you've checked out for the day! We were on Faliraki beach most days (about a 7 min walk down the main street) and it's beautiful - and again so safe, you can leave your belongings and go for a swim and nobody touches them. There was a lovely beachside cafe where you can get a bottle of Mythos (greek beer/lager - lovely stuff) for 1,50E and a huge bowl of garlic bread with cheese for 2E. Wonderful. I was disappointed that there wasn't many authentic Greek restaurants in the resort of Faliraki itself - more fast food or mexican restaurants but there are some lovely places in the more remote villages if you care to explore via bus!
The hotel is so close to the main road and the main bus routes, you can travel literally anywhere in Rhodes via bus - it's cheap easy and quick. Looking back it would be nice to hire a car as it's so easy to get around! One road that runs around the island and then one through the middle, impossible to get lost!
I would recommend visiting Lindos and Rhodes Town which were both cheap bus rides away and the buses run well into the evenings - last bus around half 10.
In September there was no clubbers really in the hotel and the town was really quiet - but we weren't there for the nightlife anyway!
For a budget holiday this was great and all the greeks are so friendly.

Myself and my partner booked a last minute holiday staying at the Dias Studios, we were a bit unsure of going 18-30 but had a brilliant time. There were mainly groups of friends staying at the hotel, there were a few other couples but everyone was really friendly.
The rooms & hotel itself is really clean, there is a 24 hour bar which serves food all day - we ate there a few days and the food was really nice. Uncle Bill works on the bar from 11pm til 7am, a trip to Uncle Bills restaurant is a must, it costs €20 each and you can eat and drink all you like, he brings you back to the hotel in his pick up truck!
The hotel is around 10 minutes walk to Club Street and about 15 to bar street. The beach is just off club street (turn left at Sams studios) and is really nice. There is a big supermarket, if you turn left at the end of the road leading to the hotel then right onto the dual carriageway (there is a path), it is about 700 metres down. You can also get to bar street this way (if you want to avoid the reps from the bars).
We went to Rhodes town for the day, there is a bus stop outside the Apollo hotel on club street and costs €2 each, the journey takes around 20 mins and is worth a visit. It is quite expensive in Rhodes Town, check the prices before you order, we were charged €10 for 2 lemonades!!
We had a great time and I would reccommend to anyone.

I stayed in the Dias studios with 3 friends in the summer of 08, and we enjoyed it immencely. This hotel seemed to be very popular with 18-30s who's main purposes was clubbing! Most of the other guests seemed to be similar ages to ours. Most of the rooms had 2 beds in, so I stayed in a ground-floor room with one friend while the other two were in the room next to ours. All of the rooms had either a balcony or terrace overlooking the pool, and the rooms seemed very safe, even safe enough to leave the patio door open while you relax by the pool. The weather was absolutely fantastic, although the heat at times can get unbarable, so the pool was a good saviour! It was a good size, although the sunloungers were taken up a lot of the time so get out early if you want to bag one! We arrived in the early hours of the morning, and the bar was still open which got a lot of trade from our coach party! The prices in the bar were reasonable, and the food was excellent, particularly the fried breakfasts and tuna rolls which I loved. The staff were generally quite friendly, the one quipp I had with them was that they got a little touchy about the amount of noise that we were making when we returned from the town, but surely they would expect that from people of our age? And there were no children or older people staying at the hotel so I don't think we were disturbing anyone. The nightlife is brilliant in the centre of faliraki, and was only about a 15-minute walk from the hotel. I would definitely recommend taking part in the 2wentys nights, which you pay for once you arrive, and most of which include free drinks all night. There is a small supermarket about a 10-minute walk away from the hotel, which was very reasonably priced and had a good range of food. Cheap bottles of water too! The beach was a fair walk away, but totally worth it. The crystal-clear sea and golden beaches were stunning.
Overall, I would avoid this hotel if you're over the age of about 35, as it can get quite rowdy, but would definitely recommend it for people who are 17-30!

We stayed at this hotel in September 2008. It was very hot still in Rhodes, and we found the air conditioning to be essential when we returned to the room in the late afternoon. It was 50 euros for the week. We had a ground floor room, so didn't feel able to leave the balcony doors open. The safe is 15 euros for a week.

The rooms are clean, but we did have a problems with ants getting into the room.

There is a 24 hour bar there which is good for when you arrive, as we turned up at 5am and were able to buy bottled water. We found a large supermarket after a couple of days which sold 2 litlres of water for 35cents, cheaper than the 1.50 euro price at the hotel. To get to this supermarket you need to follow the road out of the hotel, then turn right. You will see the dual carriageway in front of you, and then walk along the dual carriage way so you are facing the traffic. It's about a 10 minute walk this way to the supermarket and the main bars and clubs.

Cooking facilities are very limited. The only cooking equipment is a 2 hob electric stove, but you are only given one, large, saucepan. There is a kettle, and a fridge but no toaster. Breakfast rolls are available at the bar which are between 2.50 and 3 euros.

The hotel is popular with younger groups, but there were people of all ages there. There are also plenty of sunloungers around the pool, and very rarely did anyone reserve a sun lounger with a towel!

Overall we didn't mind the Dias studios. We were looking for a cheap last minute holiday, and would recommend this hotel if you're looking for a basic hotel. The hotel is listed as self catering, so we would not recommend this hotel if this is what you're looking for, as the cooking facilities and equipment make this practically impossible (unless you like soup!)
