“Nice bourtique hotel in the quiet area of Faliraki”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 1, 2013

If you are looking for a nice quiet location in Rhodes to spend you vacation in, Castello di Cavalieri Hotel is just the place to choose. We spent 14 days there and we were very impressed by the quality of the accommodation and services.

The hotel has just 18 rooms, all of them spacious and comfortable. The rooms are sound-proof, so you are not going to wake up to your neighbor's snoring and he to yours :) Furthermore, the rooms on the ground floor are equipped with the outer blinds and insect nets, which is very convenient and save. Otherwise, the rooms are very large, clean and nicely furnished. There is a sofa and a well-equipped kitchenette (with coffee maker, fridge, plates) in addition to a very comfortable bed, flat screen TV and a PC - the coolest thing indeed! Wlan is free, but the signal was not very strong in our room.

The service at the hotel is just great! Takis, the owner, is always there for his guests and he is doing a great job! Everyone from cleaning personnel to the lady at the bar were extremely friendly and welcoming.

We were very satisfied with everything at Castello. Although both of us are more of sea-lovers than pool-potatoes, the pool area was so nice that we stayed there several days, and sometimes - we were almost the only ones there!

The hotel does not serve dinner, but you will find a couple of great locations in the direct neighborhood, e.g. Taverna Bridges, afamily owned restaurant with great food and the nicest owners - just 5 min walk.

The hotel's location is great too. If you look at it on Google maps it may seem like a long walk to Faliraki beach. But it is not. It is precisely 10 minutes to the beach. Please note that the beach of Faliraki is very full in the main season, so if you are looking for a more secluded place you can find lots of them, but you will need a car to get around and see more of the island, which is beautiful and has much more to offer than Faliraki noisy bar street. Takis can also arrange for a car rental for you, and it will be cheaper than the most providers we saw.
As for the beaches - take a look at Afanthou/Afandou beach and, my favourite of all times, Gennadi beach (not sure about spelling though, it is 40 minutes drive to the South of the island from the hotel).

All in all it was a great vacation and i can absolutely recommend Castello di Cavalieri.

Room Tip: The grand suit is great, but a bit more expensive. All rooms have good location, since the hotel is...

We stayed here in September 2012. As previous reviews, we only have the best to say about this place. Rooms are perfect, clean, large, with pc and internet. Breakfast was always great. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay while in Rhodes, those apartments are at a 5* level. Faliraki, sadly is an area in decline. However, we will strongly recommend Castello to anyone going to Rhodes as the apartments are away from the streets and bars. If we decide to go to Rhodes again, with no doubt Castello is a first choice to stay in.

Quiet, cosy, clean, relaxing, comfortable... These are the TOP 5 words that first came up when I started to think this lovely hotel. We stayed here over two weeks and must say that we were absolutely happy!

Hotel is cute and neat and everything works. (And if something gets broken, it will be fixed in a second.) Also rooms are rather big and really, really clean. Pool area is cosy (although on the first days of holiday I would have needed more spots in the shadow as my skin couldn't handle the sun yet) and quiet. We wanted to have a quiet hotel without screaming kids (or adults) and we surely got it. In many days we didn't leave to the beach at all as it was so relaxing by the pool. Also the pool bar was open all the time.

Rooms have a little kitchenette where you can make coffee/tea and maybe some little cooking. Every room has a terrace or balcony where you can enjoy your aperitif. Staff is super friendly. The owner, Takis, is always available for a chat and gives good tips. It was nice to have discussions with him. We were one day regretting the lack of room service as we had had a long one day excursion somewhere and didn't feel like going out for dinner. But no problem with this one either- Takis knew a pizza place who delivered the pizzas to our room - just perfect!

Faliraki itself is not that interesting. There's a lot twenty-something-parties going on but this hotel is comfortably away from that awful disco area. -Still close enough to walk to Faliraki center if you want to. We had a scooter and we drove to Rhodes City for dinner on most of the evenings. But you can also find good restaurants (tavernas mainly) closeby, if you know where to look from. We took a car for couple of days to visit the other side of the island and otherwise we scootered- there's lots to see in the nearby villages if you just want to be active yourself.

Castello di Cavalieri Suites & Spa it's a very nice and luxury small hotel idealy for couple's, honeymooners and for those seeking privacy and relaxation reflect a genuine aristocratic flair.
Here you can enjoy your holidays in a comfortable and relaxing child-free environment away from the bustling crowds, noise and stress, in a renovated stylish setting, specially designed for adults (Guests aged 16yrs and older are considered adults at this resort).

A fabulous ultra clean and modern retreat mixed with rustic eccentricity and tranquility - we loved it!
Its a perfect base for exploring the Island - a car is useful.
Takis, the owner, is a great host. He was full of ideas about where to eat, what to do and when to do it or you can just relax by the wonderful pool.

After reading thru a few of the reviews, there has already been a review written that is identical to what I was going to write - so I will summarize my thoughts below:

I have absolutely nothing against this hotel - it is amazing, clean & neat - truly the only downside is the location. I chose Faliraki because in my travel books it was rated at the top destination spot (we wanted to be somewhere fun & not secluded). We were quite diappointed when we arrived - Faliraki is a run-down, low class, dirty kind of town - it reminded me of Atlantic City. The approach to the hotel is disheartening (old buildings, a partially completed hotel that is overgrown with underbrush, some seedy characters hanging out beside the hotel). If I ever go to Rhodes again, I will not stay in Faliraki. It's a shame this hotel isn't located in another town!

Takis (the owner) is one of the most hospitable & generous people I have ever met. He will bend over backward to help you. One day we wanted to go to the beach however the room did not have swimming towels. Since they were still being ordered from the company, Takis drove my husband & I to the town & he purchased towels for us & he dropped us off at the beach.

The bed mattress is horrible. It is very thin. To be exact, you actually sleep on top of the box spring. We had free internet service in our room, & each room has a computer in it for you to use. The rooms were of a decent size & had a kitchenette. The rooms were incredibly clean & neat, almost as if you were the very first to stay in them!

The theme of the hotel is Medieval & Takis did a fantastic job at carrying it through. The rooms are well decorated & there are many medieval details to be seen everywhere.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to a friend, just be sure to have a rental car so you can see all the other great spots in Rhodes.

It was well priced, breakfast included ( excellent cappucino's ) quiet due to adults only, excellent location close to Faliraki town - restaurants, shopping, beaches, all within 10 minutes walking, beautiful view. Takis the owner ( speaks english and I am sure other langueges ) was so helpful with our every need, we were able rent a car from the hotel at a very reasonable rate. Rooms were clean, quiet, included a fridge and kitchen area so were a good size and balcony was an additional sitting area to enjoy the scenery. They also had internet in all the rooms now that was convenient.
