I've been in June, with kids and i had great time ... It was beginning of the season and they gave us the family room although we paid for double room with baby bad. The room was huge, staff was great and very attentive.
The hotel has the best organization, if you compare to the hotels in surrounding. They have entertainment team, that is great for kids ... and I have to say that they are great, the whole team ... especially one girl Iona (very polite and cute)
The food is good, fresh, different dishes every day. I don't know what people expect but for me more than enough.
The pools are big, and they have a lot of sunbeds and also all day entertainment team is making fun for you, if you want, of course .
The thing that I didn't like is elevators, which are very very small, especially if you have 2 strollers, like me :)
It's not so close to the Faliraki (about 30 min. walking... but you don't have the pedestrian zone by the beach where you can you ... you have to go by main road)
It is the hotel for older people or people with family ..

Dear valued guest,

It is always a pleasure to read such positive comments from our guests, as well as to know that you observed the distinction of Blue Sea Beach Resort suroundings compare to the nearby hotels.

Thank you very much for highlighting the food served, the pool area and the entertainment team. We are delighted to hear that you had an enjoyable and relaxing holiday and you find this to be a great experience overall.

The elevators were made in the opening time of the hotel, back in late seventies. By that time,
the elevators shafts were constructed in sizes like the ones of our hotel. In the hotel’s expansion plan, which will be materialised in the winter of 2013, an elevator with a capacity of lifting 2 strollers or 8 persons has been approved. So,if you include our hotel in your future vacation plans, there is a big chance to experience the new elevator. We very much hope that this did not have a negative impact on your holiday as a whole.

On behalf of the management and staff, we would like to express our hope, to have the pleasure to welcome you back in Blue Sea Beach Resort should your future travel plans calls for a trip to sunny Rhodes.

Best Regards

3 friends aged 26 stayed here in June 2012, we booked all inclusive, the hotel is nice, right by the beach and looked after, pool area is lovely and bar staff were great, food was pretty much awful, they dont cater for english at all but we just ate whatever as we were on holiday and didnt care :o)
We did find a nice steak bar 10 minutes away where we ate 3 nights out of the 7 we were there, one thing i must add is that we were the only english there, the hotel was full of germans, russians and the french, this didnt bother us much as we kept ourselves to oursevles however the entertainment team (who were absolute rubbish) only spoke in french, after a day we just learned to switch off whenever they jumped on the microphone, none of them could entertain they were just pratting about really, again after 10 cocktails we just switched off. I would say this hotel is mainly for families and elderly couples, I wouldnt take young children there as the entertainment team dont cater for them, we called them X Factor rejects as they were the type who thought they were the bees knees but really shocking.
Anyway apart from that we had fun, the town centre is 5 euro's away in a taxi, rooms were always kept clean and tidy, the hotel doesnt have much around it so if you are going for a walk expect a long walk to see anything, we just jumped in a taxi most days, the beach is lovely however and the pool is very clean and we loved relaxing by it.

I'll start with the good part: the ouside area (pool and beach) looked really good and were well taken care of, the food was tasty, the staff were helpful and kind (with some exceptios to follow) and the bedsheets were changed almost daily.
Having said that, let's takle the bad: 1. The bathrooms need refurbishment, they don't come close to what a four star hotel should look like. We never had a complete set of shower gel, body lotion and shampoo. We only found shampoo when we checked in and that was it! Once we asked the cleaning ladies, but they said "they ran out" and we should ask at the reception (first time I ever heard such a thing!).
2. The rooms could be (or look) cleaner (on my nightstand there were traces of something that look like the ones made by rubber soles, I found a couple of hairs in the sink area, although it was obviously cleaned before we checked in). Now, writing this review, I'm really sorry I didn't take pictures!
3. There is a deposit of 10 euros per beach towel, which I understand, but to get a clean one you have to pay extra each time, even with all inclusive. We finally decided to pay the money, and surprise: my friend did not pay attention and got 25 cents (an american quarter!) instead of a 2 euros coin at the RECEPTION! This is a common practice throughout Rhodes, but one expects more from a hotel! The same reception which hesitated a lot to refund us for our deposit when we checked out, saying that their notes (an actual notebook with handwriting where you sign only when given the towels) show that the towels were previously given back. Since we were returning the towels at time time, there isn't much I can say except that that system is unacceptable. There are simple (and very cheap!!!) solutions for such things, like giving a chip with the number of towels you receive (this is for the management, as I see they read these reviews).

I hope these comments will prove helpful to future customers as well as the hotel management.

Room Tip: Get a seaview!

This is a fairly typical family holiday resort, one of a strip of anonymous and unremarkable concrete blocks sitting on the shore of Faliraki beach. The rooms and decor are tired and whilst the whole place could do with a bit of a refurb, the external aspects are fine; pools and beach facilities are very good, and most families will find this perfectly adequate. The disappointments were the beds: two single beds on wheels pushed together on tiled floors won't stay that way for very long with two people in them! And charging for wi-fi? This is really not acceptable these days, but it probably inhibits the dads from spending their day lying around the pool answering email.

The staff, too, were very friendly and cooperative, helping me around a few problems with my stay, and they should be commended, especially as the desk often seems understaffed and thus their workload that much harder. The food is good for a place coping with such numbers every day, but not exceptional, but there are few alternatives around (do try the Manolis restaurant in the town: freshly prepared Greek dishes, very nice: we ate there twice).

The nearby town is, frankly, a disappointment, and clearly rapidly becoming a victim of the Greek economic troubles, with lots of businesses now closed, and a tawdry atmosphere. The nearby Waterpark is an antidote to this, and well worth a visit.

Room Tip: Pay the extra for a sea view.

Dear Valued Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to bring your feedback to our attention.

We are very happy to read that you have enjoyed your stay and the facilities provided at the Blue Sea Beach Resort. Thank you very much for highlighting the hotel location and friendliness of our staff; something that we are particularly proud of.

We are very concerned to read that have not been impressed with the food served in the hotel, something that is among our strong points and poorly Mediterranean. Our ingredients and recipies have as a basis the best of the best in terms of quality and genuinity. We deal with happy repeating guests for 30 years now.

The resort has a undergone rooms refurbishment 4 years ago and we have tried to maintain the simplicity of the rooms colourizing them with neutral colours. We would also like to add that the room you stayed was a twin bedded room and usually is assigned for people asking for two separate beds we can assure you that this would have been resolved if the problem had been reported at the reception. We much hope that this did not have a negative impact on your holiday as a whole.

We work really hard to achieve and maintain the highest level of standards possible and can assure you that we take very seriously all comments made by our guest.

Once again Thank you for sharing your experience following and we look forward to welcoming you back in our resort should your future travel plans call for a trip to Rhodes.

Warm Regards,
