WE visited Faliraki Water Park on our trip to Rhodes. I must it's one of the biggest Water Park I have ever been. The slides were awesome and the attraction was really amazing.

THE ONLY ISSUE I CAN PICK ON THIS PARK, IS THAT THE WATER WAS FREEZING COLD! Fair enough we went this time of the year, October. I wish the pools were heated as it was really ice cold. I wanting to enjoy the giant slides more, but it was just too cold for me. Though I have enjoyed for short time, the wave pool. I REALLY SUGGEST THAT THE POOL SHOULD BE HEATED AT THIS TIME OF THE YEAR.

But other than that, it was an amazing experience.

Very clean and the food (after the rides) was wonderful
However when we went it was very windy as we walked the long up hill road to find out it was closed, why didn't they put a sign at the bottom to say it was CLOSED ???

We visited early October - its last month of the season, and had a good time as a family of four with kids aged 5 and 8. Website rebuilding now, so some tips here:

- Entrance FEE is 22e adults, 15e kids, free for under 3s. Good value for age 13+ especially who can go on all the rides, less so for 4-7 year olds with limited choice. Slides close at 5.30 out of peak season.

- there's a FREE BUS, which from the south saves a lot of money on excursion or taxi fares. It goes from Pefkos and Londos and quite a few other places. From Pefkos, it leaves from outside Pefkos at Night at 9.15am - at the crossroads of Pefkos Town Road and the main Rhodes Road. Bus is clean and cool and had room in Oct, but apparently gets crowded in mid season. Return to Pefkos/Lindos from the park is 5pm (Look inside Pefkos by Night for a bus timetable)

- LOCKERS are to the left once you've come through the entrance. You need to buy a key from the shop - 6e but you get 5e back.

- worth getting MONEY put onto your wristband so you don't need to carry it around - very clever system they have and works just fine, they just scan a barcode on your wrist band to buy things and you get leftover cash back at the end of the day at exit desk....allow time for that

- Everyone says ground hot....which I'm sure it is in summer, but no problem in spring and late Sept/Oct. They sell oversocks. We found COLD WATER to be more of an issue in October, especially for the wave pool and some of the rides where you get a fair dunking.

- Not many CAFES there open late season, the one by the wave pool was fine but doesn't do much other than nachos, chips and hotdogs. Prices not a disaster. Can bring own food - they don't check

- onto the BIG SLIDES. A good selection of really fast ones - enclosed twister tubes, fast vertical drop slides, mat racers with five lanes where you lie front down and zoom, and a 'spacebowl' twister tube into a toliet bowl type spin around where you plunge into a pool when gravity finally catches you. Great fun! But most or all of these fast rides are for 13yrs plus.

- INTERMEDIATE SLIDES for 8+ - there's a few of these. The triple crazy cone is great fun, medium paced tubes connected by cones with rapids that soak you as you go up and down the sides on a ring. Single riders only. Will be fine for lots of but not all 8 year olds, main thing is confidence and being big enough to sit in the ring properly. You can view it from a platform at the bottom. Much the same goes for the skate ramp style ride you go up and down on - at the far right as you enter the park. Rings again, steep drop at start will spook some but fine after that.

- SMALLER SLIDES - a few tube slides for aged 4+ who CAN SWIM. two enclosed 'blackhole' swirly tub rides and a similar but mostly open 'Rafting' ride. All good fun and not too extreme, and you can get double rings that allow a child and parent to ride together. Can be a bit of a dunk into a 1m pool at the end which is why at least a bit of swimming is needed.

- KIDS AREAS are at the bottom of the park - turn left as you go in and go downhill. The wave machine pool is fine, medium sized waves. Another pool further down with a pirate ship and a few mega small slides for infants+. PLus a bubble slide kids (probably 4+) can climb up and bounce down into a splash zone - 1m deep so parents may want to help kids as they splash into it.

FAIRGROUND and FERRIS - your entry also lets you ride for free on the big wheel at the very bottom of the park, access if from the bottom kids pool area. There's also a rodeo bull and mini train rides there that are free. But the dodgems need a 2e coin. This area was only open 3-5pm when we were there. There's also a mini caterpillar coaster to the left of the entrance to the water park which is good for young kids.

Think that's enough! Overview was brill for confident teens and adults, good for confident 8-10 year olds and for the under 3s who go free, but more limited for those in the 4-9 group, especially if they're not too confident or can't swim.

It was so good, we got there at about 11am and spent the rest of the day there. The prices are really good, the slides are so much fun! Wear socks on hot days because the ground is ridiculously hot. Barely any queues, the longest we had to wait was about 2 minutes, definitely recommend whatever age you are.
