“Really nice place to stay”
Reviewed October 7, 2013

Booked as a blind last minute holiday on teletext. Nice location at the end of the cove so quite secluded and peaceful. Staff were friendly and the pool which is situated over the road is nice and clean with only a stones throw away from the beach itself.

If you're looking for a clean fresh room in a fantastic beachfront location and you're on a budget, then this is worth considering. Four of us travelled on a last minute break and we were slightly apprehensive about Faliraki, but we had been assured that the place was not in the heart of town. The apartments are technically in Faliraki, but right on the extreme southern end of town, so far enough away from the 'night noise' that you're not bothered by it. The apartment block we stayed in was in the shadow of a hill right next door, so that kept the place cool in the evening, which believe me in late June/early July was very welcome! AC was available of course, but at an extra charge. Basic but clean rooms were well kept by the attentive housekeeping ladies. The pool area sat right on the beach so it was easy to get a change of scenery, or a swim in the sea in 2 seconds flat!! Fantastic location! The walk into Faliraki itself was only 10/15 minutes along the wooden walkway set into the beach with plenty of watering holes along the way, so not a hardship in daylight or early in the evening, but best to come back later in a taxi - plentiful and cheap! Food and beer at the apartments was reasonable priced, but plenty of competition round the area to tempt you out if you wished. Owner had a car hire business and, like most Greek businessmen, was happy to 'negotiate' a price!!

Room Tip: Rooms back from the beach are cooler in the evening

We have stayed at Elpida for a number of years now and last year decided to stay elsewhere... big mistake we so missed everyone at Elpida the rooms are clean and cool with the air con which very cheap. The food at the pool bar is excellent and the service is the best. Tina and Debbie are lovely people and brilliant at making you very welcome Yannis also has a big smile and will welcome all with loving arms. We are returning again in July this year and are looking forward to seeing everyone. The pool is refreshing and just on the otherside of the pool bar is the beach. A short walk round the bay is the nudist beach and a must for those who dont do tan lines lol. Give it a try you will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: all the rooms are excellent and have good views of in land or sea/beach

My wife and I enjoyed a week at the Elpida Beach Studios in July 2012. We only wish we had booked a longer time, and will go back for sure. The family-run hotel lacks nothing in hospitality, cleanliness, and pure pleasure.

The room has no TV! Hallelujah! There is actually time to look your spouse in the face. It is amazing how much you find in common when not glued to a screen.

Our balcony was our venue for breakfasts, afternoon coffees, and late night drinks and snacks.

We enjoyed mornings on the beach and the hotter afternoons under an umbrella by the hotel pool. The clientele were friendly and quiet, which made out vacation more relaxing.

We could have actually just stayed in or near the hotel for our entire holiday, but ventured out on the boardwalk to the downtown area most every evening.

Faliraki is much under-rated. This wonderful little village is much more enjoyable than the larger and noisier Rhodes Town. Yet Faliraki lacks nothing in the way of pubs, discos, and all sorts of delightful places for either couples or families.

There are many hotels in Faliraki. But I have to say, leaving the Elpida Beach, we felt like we were leaving behind family. The staff treated us like visiting cousins. And this was genuine. Not just put on for the tourists. We highly recommend this hotel for anyone who puts life, love, and friendship above 5-star amusements, which in the end, may leave you wanting.

Room Tip: Ask for a seav-view room if available, but the mountain view has it's own kind of beauty.

Family run business - great service and very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Basic rooms, but very clean, could be improved by supplying a toaster!. Apartment situated almost on the beach, Pool area extremley clean with a very relaxing atmosphere. Would definately book again. The beach had a private feel about it and was lovely, my only negative no ash trays on the beach for the inconsiderate smokers who left behind numerous cigarette buts!! Our first trip to Greece and was very impressed a beautiful place toholiday. R & K Martin - 18th - 28th Sept 2011.

Just returned from 2 weeks staying at Elpida apartments and would recommend this place. Kitchenette is basic, twin electric hob, fridge and kettle is all you get, no toaster. Having said that you are spoilt for choice for eating out so don't need to cook. This is a family run business and the staff couldn't be more helpful. The three sisters - Tina, Debbie, sorry can't remember the name of the third, go out of their way to help you. The area is quiet but about 20 mins walk from the main strip if you want lively bars and clubs. 5-10 mins walk along the beach you are spoilt for choice for tavernas. Charlies on the main road is a must for good cheap meals. On average a starter, main course, beer and soft drink for two costs around £30.

We stayed at these appartments last year and were so impressed with the place and the locality we came back! At the quiet end of faliraki but 10 minutes walk in to the centre and nightlife if thats what you want. (not for us, we like the quiet life!) Lovely accomodation, lovely owners (who remembered us, so that was a nice touch) and easy access to the bus routes, lovely beaches (and nudist beach within 200m if you are brave enough!)
My only complaint would be that the air conditioning is essential if you stay in the height of summer and it has to be paid for seperately and adds quite a bit to the price at 6 euros per night but not a major problem and wouldn't put us off staying again.
