We arrived early from Crete and were greeted by our driver at the ferry terminal who was extremely helpful with luggage. The free transfers were a bonus to start our Santorini holiday with. We arrived and our room was ready so we were able to check into our room straight away at 10:30am again another bonus of the hotel. Location is only 50 meters from the black beach so our kids could choose where they wanted to swim. The hotel reminded me of a small boutique hotel that made it feel cozy and warm. The rain showers were great after swimming. We had booked a family room so we slept upstairs while the kids slept down. When we checked out we did not realize that we had left our mobile phone behind and the hotel staff especially Aliki went to great lengths to contact me and return it to us in Athens where we were finishing our holiday. I can not thank Aliki enough for the effort she went to return my phone. I would definitely stay there again.

I had already been in this hotel a few years ago, so I had no doubts which hotel to choose this time. The hotel is very close to the beach and far enough from the crowd of Fira, that can be reached by bus or, better, by car. One of the most amazing things is definitely the pool area, where it is possible to stay till the night in a relaxing atmosphere.
The economic room was essential but with the main comforts. Unfortunately, it was on the ground floor and there was no ventilation at all inside resulting very hot, even with air conditioning. The mattress was quite uncomfortable, so next time I would definitely choose a more expensive room.
The personal was very kind and willng to help in any kind of matter. It is a pity that the free transfer at the arrival is only till 11 pm, and we had to pay 30 € to arrive from the airport. Nonetheless, I would definitely recommend this hotel and, if I may go to Santorini a third time, I would definitely come back to Smaragdi!

Stayed here for 10 nights Sep last year. The hotel was excellent, staff attentive and had a lovely pool/bar area. Plenty of restaurants on the beach strip which is about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. We stayed in a petite budget room which was great for the price. Will definitely be returning
