Our 2 week trip was organised by a independent travel agent and was the holiday that we hoped it would be. We had 14 days from 25th September and wall to wall sunshine with temperatures in the 30s every day. (The locals said this was unusual its normally mid 20s at this time of the year). Georgio and Anna were excellent hosts, the studios although basic, very much served our purpose, were cleaned by Maria every day with new towels, tea towels every day and clean sheets every 2/3 days. There were very limited cooking facilities a toaster would have been welcomed so we could only have cereal for breakfast. The studios were situated in such a way that you did not feel overlooked whilst at the same time if you wanted to chat with others you could. We did 2 walks over the mountain to the next resort Kamari and to Ancient Thira and used the local buses, which are close at hand, to travel to Fira, Oia, Emporio and Pyrgos. The water taxi from Kamari/Perissa at a cost of 4 euros each was a lovely way to get home. The 24 hour bakery nearby served lovely bread etc and some eateries recommended would be Cyclades, Ancient Thira (just up the road), Ntomatini, a meze food restaurant on the sea front where Ilias and Giannis looked after us really well and Magic Bus owned by Nickos and located by the bus terminal at the end of the beach near the mountain. Some of the views away from Perissa were really stunning and sitting drinking coffee was a lovely way to spend an hour taking in the views. All the locals were really helpful and helped to make it a great holiday

We chose this through Thomson Holidays at the beginning of the year based on how nice the Villa looked and the other reviews through Trip Advisor. Me and my boyfriend arrived here at the end of September and we were definitely not disappointed! We arrived late evening and were greeted by George who was friendly and showed us to our rooms.

The rooms are about the average size for Greek accomodation (you will know what I mean if you have been to Greece before) They have a kitchenette complete with plugin cooking stove, utensils and kettle - plenty if you want to have your own snacks although we ate out mostly. We had a double bed in our rooms and some of the others have two singles put together. They are very clean, and get done every day by the cleaning lady plus the sheets changed. I have to say the cleaner was very discreet, we went to the shop one morning and we were gone around 20 minutes, no more. We came back and our rooms had been cleaned! Don't be shocked by the showers if you do come here as this is what most Greek showers are like! Most of the water does end up going on the bathroom floor so do be careful when you step out. The air conditioning is 6 euros per night, but trust me you do need it... even at the end of September!

The pool area is very relaxing complete with comfy sunbeds, side tables and the bar. George and his wife do a BBQ on a saturday for 10 euros PP if there are enough people wanting it and I have to say it was delicious. There was plenty of choice, I loved the 'fava' beans (traditional to Santorini) and the white eggplant with cheese on top! George and his wife could probably be classed as being a little reserved in some respects but would do anything to help if you asked. They have a small dog and a fair few cats, who are all very friendly. They will come up to you around the pool but I am an animal lover so this never bothered me in the slightest. I read a review on here which said they aren't very nice, which is a load of rubbish.

There are plenty of lovely restaurants and bars within Perissa on the beachfront and main high street, you are spoilt for choice. It's worth having a look on here at some of the reviews before you go of them. Our favourites were Sirocco, Ntomatini and Tranquilo.

There is also a good walk up the hill side which is a must do to the Ancient city of Thira (about an hour or so up to the top - best to go early in the morning) and Phevos is in a good location for you to be able to walk straight from the hotel up the hillside. The ruins are great and took us about an hour to walk around it all, all for free.

Would definitely come back here again, hoping to book soon!

Room Tip: The top rooms have the best view obviously, we had one of the rooms towards the back which doesnt ha...

Phevos Villa offers one of the nicest pools (in this price range or higher) in Perissa Beach -- sparkling water, luxurious padded deck chairs and nice setting next to the rocky mountain.

Rooms are similarly spotless and offer a nice small kitchenette. I'm surprised by those complaining the rooms are 'small' or inadequately furnished -- for a two-star hotel, they are more than adequate and have a nice, simple Greek style. Wood furnishings were actually a bit nicer than I expected.

Location is about 200 meters from the beach (5 minute walk) and another five minutes to bars, restaurants and bakeries on the main road.

We weren't charged 6 euros for the a/c (it seemed to be included), but didn't use it at all anyway. Better to enjoy the fresh island air.

One great feature of this hotel (and that others would do well to emulate in Perissa) is that departing guests are allowed to store their bags in a proper bedroom with complete shower and toilet facilities -- the incredibly gracious maid even brought us a set of clean towels for showering later in the day when we dropped off our bags.

George is not the most outgoing guy, but both him and his wife are helpful and competently run a nice, clean, small hotel. He was very kind to allow my friend to wash a large load of clothes in the housekeeping washing machine.

Overall, Phevos Villa represents great value in Perissa Beach.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Phevos Villa, however our first impressons of our room was one of disappointment. The room was extremely small and the fitments in need of updating. There was a very limited amount of crockery, which could be rectified at little expense. George the owner, about whom many had spoken highly, spoke to us only twice, once to tell us that air conditioning was 6 euros per night and again, when we asked for our passport to be returned. Beyond these negatives, the room was both very clean and adequate.

Room Tip: I assume that rooms on the upper floor have more space for sitting outside.

Phevos Villa is a very Greek complex. Basic, which is what Greece is all about. Extremely well looked after. The rooms are small but you don't need much more than somewhere to lay your head after a day relaxing by the excellent pool and a night out at one of the restaurants in the village. Something we've not come across before in the rooms was washing up liquid and a scourer at the kitchen sink, hand wash in the shower room and a clean tea towel every day. Also every day we had clean bedding and towels. There was plenty of crockery, and a hotplate in the kitchen should you feel the need to prepare any food in the room, we didn't we visited the fantastic 24 hour bakery who prepared delish pies and cakes, or prepared filled rolls of your choice. George kept the pool area spotless and the plentiful supply of comfy sunbeds (2" thick padding on them). Great views of the mountains and a peaceful location (except when the church about 5 minutes walk away were ringing the bells calling people to prayers) but that made no difference to us, it is tradition and will be going back at some time in the future.

have just come back today from Perissa , what you really need to know about phevos apartments are the rooms are not made for families ! they are very small and very basic , whilst we were aware that we did book two star accomadation we booked solely on the reviews on trip advisor , our initial reaction, when we seen the room was we had made a terrible mistake , HOWEVER they are spotless , the cleaner is worth her weight in gold , fresh bedding and towels every day , the sunbeds are fab as is the pool , george is very pleasant but you really have to make the effort with him , there were no other children and it is certainly a place for couples or older people , the beds are the most uncomfortable i have ever slept in , there are a lot of cats roaming around and they are prone to going into your room and onto your bed , not something i would encourage personally , we did not hear any dogs barking , it is an amazing island and certainly we will return but we would certainly upgrade the accomadation for no other reason than comfort , there is air con available to purchase , essential in this weather ! overall a fab holiday and met some amazing people , worth the visit .

After two weeks at the Phevos apartment we returned to the uk feeling very relaxed.
The apartments are kept clean and tidy with fresh towels and linen everyday.
The pools is great and the sun loungers are very comfortable.
perissa itself is ace and lots of nice restaurants a couple being scirocco and gods garden.
The bars are cheap and serve great cocktails, not to mention the free drinks you get.
We hired a quad bike and it was so cheap and we travelled to Thira in 20 mins, Thira is amazing and well worth the visit.
George and Anna are very lovely and make sure you are well looked after and if you do have any problems then they deal with it straight away, they have lovely cats that everyone took too, and all the ore guests were so lovely, we made some great friends and had lots of fun in the pool.
The beach is lovely and if you fancy a nice daytime snack vist Visanto on the beach, they make you most welcome.
Ignore the negative reviews and book this place as it is good value for money.
Everything is so easy to get to, BOOK IT AND GO
