This is a lovely black beach, plenty of sun beds most of which are free providing you buy at least a drink from the bar/restaurant that owns them. You get two beds an umbrella and a table and the staff will deliver your drinks! The sands gets extremely hot so it's worth buying the special shoes they sell in the local supermarket these also are ideal for swimming in! The water is beautiful, crystal clear.

The water was crystal clear and refreshing from the burning black sand. Down on the promenade by the cliff side is quite nice too and easier to lie on than burning sand. Ok for snorkeling too by the rocks and the cliff. Watch out for the asian massage touters; there's plenty of them.

Perissa beach is clean, well-organised and not too crowded. The sea was clear and a lovely temperature in August. Black sand gets a bit hot so bring flip flops! Plenty of bars will serve drinks to you at your sun lounger, although some will charge for hiring the loungers.

Just love this area. Everyone is really friendly. Sometimes in August it can be windy so this makes the sea choppy for swimming.
