“Lovely family run hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 25, 2013

We have just returned from a week long holiday in Santorini.
This hotel is a small ,pretty hotel with basic bedrooms which were very clean new bedsheets and towels everyday!
The pool and pool area are lovely with plenty of trees to provide some shade on very hot days
,there is also a poolside bar which sells a variety of drinks and also snacks.
It is a five minute downhill walk to the beach and bars etc ,it isn't a steep hill.
What is lovely about this hotel is that it's run by a lovely, warm and friendly family and nothing is too much trouble.
It is definately worth staying here ,I would say it's more suited for couples rather than families.

Stayed with my wife for a week from 11/6/13. The hotel location is excellent just a 5 minute walk from the beach and bar and restaurants of Perissa .Its also a few minutes from the mountain path that leads to the ancient city of Thera , But its the family that run the hotel that made it such a pleasurable holiday .I have never experienced such a friendly warm welcome , they have a real passion for giving their guests such an enjoyable time and they are working all day to keep the hotel spotlessly clean. The breakfast is buffet style with coffee, juice boiled eggs, jam bread , cheese , ham yoghurt and is served from 8am to 09.30 . I will be booking my return visit for next year very soon

My parter and I stayed here for 4 nights in June and found it to be great value for money. We arrived late at night, and caught the local bus from the airport which was very easy and cost efficient. The only problem was that it was dark and we didnt really know where we were going - must different in day light. Anyway, we found the hotel which is about 500 metres from the beach up one main road, very easy. The Greek lady who was running the hotel was extremely wonderful and we had a good giggle with her even though she doesn't speak any English.

Overall was a great stay with a convenient location to local buses and restaurants in Perissa. My only comments were that our shower was awkward as it was one of those nozzles with a hose, but there was nowhere to hang the nozzle up, so it was a little hard to have a shower without drenching the whole bathroom! And also, if your here in the middle of summer, be prepared to pay extra for the air con and the safe.

Stayed at the artemis in May 2012 with my boyfriend - our first holiday together and it was perfect! The room was lovely clean and spacious with a balcony over looking the pool (you could even see the sea!) and the mountains to the right. The bathroom had a nice big shower with plenty of hot water. there was also a sofa and a fridge which was great.

The thing that really made the place for us though was the wonderful older greek lady who ran it - she was amazing! took really good care of us, sorting us with tea of an evening when we got back form dinner...we even got a hug when we left - and we were very sad to leave!

The apartments are a 5-10 min walk away from the beach, nice and quiet with a lovely pool.

We can't wait to go back!

Went with a friend on 28/05/2013 for a week, could easily have stayed longer. Lovely family run hotel, so friendly, nothing too much trouble. Rooms cleaned daily, towels and sheets changed daily. We had a balcony overlooking the pool but all the rooms had really good views, we heard only good comments from the other guests. Located in quiet spot but only 5 mins walk from Perissa beach and bars/restaurants/shops. Would definitely return to the Artemis and would certainly recommend it to anyone thinking of travelling to this area of the island.

Arrived at the Artemis 21st May for a week and was never disappointed. Beautiful hotel in a quite location not to far from the beach or restaurants. The family run hotel gave us the feeling of staying with family rather than a hotel, cannot fault this hotel in any way and my wife and I intend returning next year.

Room Tip: Rooms facing pool and the split level rooms are nice, but all rooms are clean and spacious.

We arrived at the Hotel Artemis on the 4/5/2013 to be greeted by Maria and her family. We were asked to join them for greek easter round the pool and offered a choice of 2 rooms. We had a nice breakfast typicaly greek we would have liked an egg everyday and maybe fresh fruit but the homemade cake and biscuits made up for it.
We had fresh towels every day and an excellant maid service, we had a very powerful hairdryer in the bathroom to save on luggage weight.
The hotel is set at the back of the resort near to old Thira so it was nice and quiet only drawback is it is a fair walk to find a supermarket. The resort of perissa is so lovely and in May gives you hot weather without crowds. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending this lovely hotel and resort.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the pool also have a sea view and a higher floor. Room 20 had a nice comfy bed and...
