The main complaint I have is about our specific room no 24, which was literally just above a wedding venue eg when your trying to enjoy the sunset with your family on your balcony you can literally just reach out and touch the bride and groom. I felt this interfered with our enjoyment of the sunset and it felt like we were intruding on the wedding party. We stayed at cliffside for 5 nights for the first two nights there were weddings on twice a day one during the afternoon and one during sunset. For the last three days weddings were only on during the afternoon which wasn't as bad as having them on during sunset. I think given the proximity of our room's balcony to the wedding venue they should warn people staying in this room about this, particularly the night time weddings starting at sunset. Some people might not be bothered by this but we really were.

Yes the staff are lovely and the views are superb but thats really all that this place offers. The pool is so small no one uses it and breakfast was served at the pool which was often overcrowded with not enough room for everyone. breakfast is served from 8-10 but if you show up after 9.30 a lot of the food has run out and they don't restock. Given the price of our room I just think this place is overrated!

Room Tip: dont stay in room 24 unless you want to be ridiculously close to a wedding venue that has weddings o...

I stayed here for 4 nights with my girlfriends.
We had a lovely time here, as the view from each room's balcony is unobstructed, and boasts
of a fantastic view of Aegean Sea and its famous sunset.

The staff here are warm and helpful, and would always have a ready smile on their face.
Dite,is always ready to help. George is professional and makes an effort to look after the safety of us, 3 girls travelling alone. Markos is warm and knowledgable, always ready with a suggestion of a good restaurant or place to go.

We had a lovely time in Santorini, and most of it could be attributed to the awesome staff in Cliff Side Suites, who enjoy their jobs tremendously, and hence make the guests feel at home too!

A really nice well positioned place to stay ,with fantastic views . Fira is just a steady 15 minute walk away where you will find some really good bars, shops and taverna's. All the staff are nice friendly and helpful but breakfeast is a bit samey and basic and the pool is small., If you struggle with steps Fira is not the place for you, but if you don't this is a nice place to stay for a chill out holiday . Don't think we've seen the last of Fira would definitely go back.

Room Tip: Higher the better as lower rooms the balconies not so private due to walkways.

We were initially booked at the Belvedere but for whatever reason, we were moved to their sister property, the Cliffside suites. At first, we weren’t sure what to make of things, but it was clear as time went on we were where we were supposed to be. From the minute we walked in Cia at the front office took care of us. Due to the mix-up they gave us to their top room which was spacious, clean and had an amazing view.

The hotel in general has amazing views – whether you’re just walking to your room, sitting at breakfast or sitting at one of the many porch areas. Rooms included breakfast which seemed plentiful (though you had to walk down 3-4 flights of steep steps to get there!) and the wireless was free and worked well in our room. Cia gave us some ideas of things to do including recommending the Sunset Oia sailing excursion, which was amazing (see review I posted). Not to mention she helped track down my lost luggage from the States and arranged to have it picked up and delivered to our room! Something the concierge at the Sofitel in Athens could not do for me.

If you’re looking for a great pool, this probably isn’t the hotel for you. But if you’re looking for a hotel, with great views, spacious and clean rooms and a great staff this is the place for you.

Just returned from 3 days / 4 nights on Santorini and stated at Cliffside. 3 girls traveling together; we made 3 diff reservations so we could each use miles for one night. Emailed hotel and they immediately understood and connected our reservation together for one reservation / suite. Arranged a car from airport thru Marco at Cliffside since arriving at 6am, however it didn't show. Marco surprised and apologetic. Plenty of cabs, so we were fine. You get dropped off in a small square and are instructed to call reception (it's hard to find amongst all other properties). They immediately came up and assisted with luggage to reception and then down to our suite. A LOT of steps, close to 100, nice to have assistance! The suite is "cave like" as most are in the area. Room was spacious, king bed and 2 twins, desk area, good closet. Non pillow top mattresses but slept very comfortably. Small kitchenette with mini bar / fridge that was handy to store own drinks. Bathroom not oversized but fine, note there are not overhead showers, just handheld ones. Towels were super soft and brand new! Free wireless throughout property but sometimes spotty in your rooms. Amazing views of Caldera, sunset and the Sea from front patio You can also watch a wedding everyday as well overlooking other properties. Breakfast was great, the usual, as everyone else indicated. Marco and George and another (never got his name but always around) super hospitable, willing to answer questions, make reservations, make calls, whatever you want. Very friendly and always around when you need them! Would definitely recommend this place!!

Room Tip: It depends on what you like.... Some have shared patios, some have jacuzzi's (non heated). Desc...

My wife and I spent the end of our honeymoon in Santorini and this was our favorite place we stayed. While there are a lot of steps to get to our room (I felt sorry for the bellhop), we had outstanding views. We were able to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. It was cool when people sitting outside on their balcony clapped when the sun set. The staff was also helpful with lining up a rental cars and providing information on good tours. We would certainly stay there again.

Traveling at the earlier parts of tourism season has its benefits, the staff booked us into a larger room during our check in. The room was great. The american breakfast was good, nothing to rave about, but definitely nothing to complain about. They had as much scrambled eggs, coffee, cereal, etc. that you could eat. The location was great for us. Far enough away from the main square to keep the traffic and noise down, but close enough to walk. Within 30 seconds of the hotel there are a couple of great restaurants. The staff, escpecially Marco, were great - offered up ideas of what to do, where to go, 4-wheelers, etc. They arranged for us to be picked up at the hotel and driven to the renter's location for the 4-wheelers. The view from the rooms was amazing! The only downside during our stay was that the internet was a little slow, or had no connection in parts of the room. But, overall, we weren't too concerned with that.
