It is hard to imagine anyone can find anything negative to say about this place. My wife and I spent our honeymoon at Homeric Poems and everything was just perfect. The staff is friendly, the pool is nice and the views are absolutely incredible. And although my wife had never been on Santorini before, we cut down on our intended sightseeing on the island since this place is so nice. You simply do not want to leave. Not even for a few hours. Breakfast on our balcony was heaven and watching the sunset (as we did with a bottle of wine) was a once in a lifetime experience.
I have been to 73 countries, including many in the Carribean, Australia and South Africa, and I can tell you that this is one of the best places I have ever been to.

Stayed 6 nights for our honeymoon- enjoyed our welcoming champagne and had the best view, best sunset and most delicious cocktails in santorini. Our room was clean and everything that we expected- the view from our balcony was stunning at sunset. The real highlight was the incredibly friendly and accommodating staff- always keen to recommend restaurants, beaches and immediately arrange rentals/tours etc. very impressive and after looking another hotels both in firostefani and in oia am utterly certain that this is the absolute best!

Room Tip: We stayed in the 'andromachi' apartment- this room being on the side had more privacy on the balconies. 'Watch your head above the bed though!

Just back from a very relaxing week in Homeric Poems. What can I say about this place?
The location is stunning. It sits right on the Caldera and you have the most fabulous of views from your private terrace. You can sit in peaceful tranquillity and watch the stunning sunsets.
The hotel is located a short walk from a few local shops and excellent restaurants if you want a quiet and excellent meal. It's about 15 mins walk from the hustle and bustle of Fira if that is more of your thing.
The hotel itself is well maintained and spotlessly clean. The staff are attentive without being pushy, especially George the barman who will mix you up a tasty cocktail or serve you meals by the pool or on your terrace. he's also on hand to serve you a refreshing welcome cocktail on arrival.
On the subject of food, the meals at the hotel are excellent and reasonably priced. Salads and sandwiches for lunch (between 7-9 Euro) and evening meals around 18-25 Euro.
The pool area is perfectly formed with plenty space for guests without feeling cramped.
We stayed in "Paris" and the only slight criticism was the lack of storage space for the wife's dresses!!
Other than that it is an amazing and relaxing place with views that simply cannot be described. Would thoroughly recommend a stay here.
Dave Diddle gives the Homeric Poems two thumbs up!

Room Tip: All rooms have a private terrace and stunning views over the Caldera.

Homeric poems was everything we could have expected of it. The rooms are great, the view is stunning, and even the hotel's food is absolutely delicious! The manager was really attentive and took us on a welcome tour of the whole property when we arrived. Attention to detail was really impressive. On a dusty morning, the staff came by and wiped down our balcony and windows without any request.
For a romantic, relaxing trip, put this place on your list!

We have just returned from a week at the fantastic Homeric Poems and are busy planning another trip next year. We stayed in Hector studio, which in my view is one of the best since the private terrace is quite large, allowing us to move round in and out of the sun. The views were absolutely stunning, no need to go to Oia for the sunset, you can watch it in comfort from your terrace. The studio itself was excellent. It contained a very small kitchen area (not much equipment, but who is going to cook!) a comfortable living area with table and chairs, small wardrobe (including a safe),TV, CD etc. Then through an archway, a comfortable bed. The bathroom had a good shower and there were robes and slippers. Towels were replaced regularly - during the day as well as at cleaning times. The air-conditioning worked well, thank goodness as it was quite hot! There are very few staff and all are exceptionally pleasant and very hard working. The young man serving our excellent breakfast on the terrace every morning (which was a real treat) was very friendly, but courteous and professional. Food was very good indeed. Because of the fact that this hotel gets such great reviews, I think it is important to be aware that this is not a 5-star hotel with all the luxuries and amenities you could then expect. The studio rooms are almost like lovely caves, stylish, comfortable and in keeping with the surroundings, but don't expect high-end luxury. I found storage to be a bit of a problem; just a small wardrobe and no drawers. However, we found this place to be so special that we will definitely return so I have to give it top rating. As for Firostefani itself, we were so pleased to have chosen this location, away from the busy Fira, with all its visiting cruise ships (which we very much enjoyed watching from our terrace). I don't think though that either the location or the hotel would be suitable for those with mobility restrictions (lots of steps). It takes about 15 minutes to walk into Fira, the walk back is a bit harder in fierce heat. Finally, the bus service from Fira is first class. You can go to most places very easily and in comfort for less that 2 euros (one way).

Room Tip: Unless you plan to spend a lot of time in your room, the studios are great. Some of the terraces are smaller than others, some of the rooms and terraces are less private than others. Hector was one of the best, in my opinion.
