We arrived and there were only two tables left so we sat next to the kitchen door, this wasn't a problem, it was interesting to see the preparation of the food, of course if you want a caldera view you should book in advance with ANY restaurant and we had a view at our accommodation so it wasn't an issue. The service was very friendly from the start, the waiting staff / owner all appreciating my attempts at Greek and teaching me new words, taking photos for us and suggesting food choices. We also received complimentary dips / bread to start and grapes to finish. As for the food, the mushroom starter with cheese / peppers was yummy (we shared it) and the lamb shank was beautifully tender and moist - the best I have had anywhere, the chicken souvlaki was very generous and moist and tasty too. Both mains came with yummy potatoes and fresh salad, beautifully presented.
One reviewer has commented that there is no house wine - there is - and at 4 euros for a large glass it is very good value and very drinkable.
Overall I thought the experience was fabulous, it was our first meal in Santorini and would not hesitate to recommend. Thanks for the experience!
